So I been diagnosing handling issues, very bouncy over bumps. Found the damper adjuster at the front, stiffened them up which helped heaps. Rear still bounced around though, pulled the rear seat and shelf out and tried to adjust, rear right more pronounced bounce compared to the rest adjustment did nothing... got under the car and it seems the damper part is rooted. The shaft actually moves around inside the coilover part and I have no damping at all (which explains the noise, should have had a better look first, I know!) :-(

So, is it expensive to have a coilover rebuilt?

(Assuming it's just the damper assembly that's screwed).

Or should I look to replace them as a pair with something else.

I like the spring rate (12/10kg based on matching up pics on the JIC website) and the firm ride is great.

Wasn't planning on spending $$$s for a while but it's stuffed so wanna fix, in the most cost effective way.

I've mailed shockreco.com.au but keen to know if anyone else has done something similar.

I have searched but only really found people weighing up buying them, not fixing them.
