Hey guys. Just bought my staega and test drove it in the day time and didn't think about checking the lights. Found out that the fog lights i have, have had their wires cut and the fog ligts are intregated into the headlights. It this common and how do i go about wiring up the foggies in my front bar. I have added a pic so you guys can see the foggies.

check if the original wiring is still behind your front bar, if not you will need to find the wiring from the fog light switch and just run some wiores from there or just get a relay and hook it through that to prevent any mass drain on the original wiring.

what do you mean by they are integrated into the headlights?

ok had the same problem with mine.

you should find a switch down next to the headlight heigh adjustment, it will be labelled 'I' and 'II'. 'I' will select the 'fog' lights integrated into the main headlight, 'II' will select the ones down in the bumper.

behind the headlight/indicator stalk is a small cut-out that youll need to remove, they unlplug (hopefully not cut) this for compliance. plug it back in.

in the bumper, mine was only disconnected, i replaced the lights and plugged them back in and they worked.

it was the bit behind the switch that stuffed me up.

with yours, if they have cut the wires, just replace them. there is a harness that goes from the bumber fog lights towards the drivers side into the main engine harness. check for any cuts and replace wires.

if youre in sydney and want to compare to mine, ill be taking my front bar off this week to install an FMIC. or i or anyone probably wouldnt mind having a look at your car. there are a few aero selections kicking around now

ive got a c34 and my fog light switch turns on my fog lights and my parkers/tail lights as i dont have a rear fog light so im guessing its suposed to be like that. its probably the same on the m35

Ok i will have a go at it tomorrow. Nah mate in in brisbane which sucks. I had a quick look yesterday and it looks like there is no wires hanging down as i was trying to find them to resolder them back on. There isnt alot of room in the frone engine bay/bumper so having biggish hands doent help but i will follow your advice and let you know how i go.

its the same on most nissans, if not all japanese cars.

Josh, remove the front bumper and have a look in there. they might have taped them up out of the way. its about a 15-20 min job to remove it. the hardest part is taking the 10 or 12 bolts out from under the bumper, its a pain in the ass lol

do you know who did the compliance on your car? just ring them and ask what they did and they might be willing to tell you how to recitify it.

maybe another M35 owner in brisbane can help you out if you get stuck?

ohh also Josh, there is a relay in the engine bay attatched to a bracket on the airbox mount. they are unique to aero selections and is wired to the switch i was telling you about to select the different fog lights

also check behind that switch to the right of the steering wheel, they may have pulled the plug out of the back of it.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
