let me get my crystal ball out to find out the setup mods... or...

you could tell just us.

Can't expect us to answer if you don't tell us the constraints/parts etc.

for all we know you have stock turbos

more boost??

Yeah thats the plan. But to run more boost I have to build a fuel system, and if 800's are going to be big enough for e85 fuel then I would build the setup with e85 in mind. If they aren't big enough i wont worry about it. I was just hoping i would make more hp on E85 at 18-20psi than i would on 98ron on the same psi.

I disagree, i had 1000's maxed at 403rwkw so i dont think 800's will cut it

Mind you thats 400cc bigger engine

Try it and see

mmm… Well just doing some rough numbers - and I repeat, rough :(

700cc = 700hp/521kw (take off 70kw, drivetrain loss, yes I know that’s again, rough guess)

~440rwkw @ max/380rwkw @ 85% (PULP)

Then 800cc … ~530rwkw max/450rwkw @ 85% (PULP)

Friend of mine had ~300awkw E85 in an EVO with 1000’s and they were not nearly maxed – remembering AWKW so easily over 500hp @ the motor.

So ye it would be line ball. I’m surprised you had 1000’s maxed @ 400rwkw.

50/50 mix would be a ok though either way you'd assume.

I'm planning on getting Sard 800's myself, -5s and then going E85 if needed and rough numbers did suggest the 800's with a bit of a rail pressure increase would get me there.

If i max then so be it lol, I'll just go a 50/50 ;)

Just for shits I just did the 1000's

1000/745kw ~675rwkw @ 100% (PULP)

People are quoting what, 25% extra for E85?

1000’s based on 25%... (675-170=505)

So 500rwkw max, 450rwkw @ 90%, 425rwkw @ 85% (roughly)

30%

470 max, 420 90%, 400 85%

Just theory of course. And not taking into account any rail pressure bumping and so on.

Real world would indeed prove otherwise :(

Dont worry, there were a lot of people surprised at that fact on the day (happened at SAUNSW dyno day)! Remember torque eats DC so im sure that played a part

Nonetheless that didnt work so 2000's went in and its all good now.

Using numbers from when we did the switch, it needed between 35/40% (cant remember the exact) more DC.

So 800's at 85% is 680cc, safe bet of 30% extra needed for the e85, that leaves 476cc - before drivetrain loss.

I wouldnt worry about an Evo result, its all guess work but we can at least use the same maker/cylinder count to try and get an outcome. Here's a spanner in the works; VR38's using 990/1000's are pulling big numbers and are seemingly ok for DC

EDIT: On E85 the temptation to screw silly amounts of boost and timing in is pretty hard to resist. Mine wouldnt knock, so before the end of the month its back on the rollers ;) Its a good thing you've got Chris down there to stop you getting too overboard with it :D

thanks for that man thats what i was after.

I spose i just build the fuel setup so i can use both.

Now all i gota do is find out if an intank 044 feeding a surge tank then twin 044s will work with e85

A simple search will tell you that fuel setup answer.

You need to know how many ms your injectors are open for at their highest. Then you can work out how much fuel you are using......exactly to 0.1 of a L and then you will be able to determine if you double it, you'll have enough. General rule.....if your injectors are more than 50% duty now, then no they won't cut it

    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed
    • I hear that would involve some nice country road drives into the hills for Mark...
    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
