Rb26dett Help Please

Recommended Posts

hi all,

I am in the planning stage of a new project and i need some help on a few topics...

1. what RWD gearbox will fit the 26? and how hard is the conversion?

2. what sump can i use to get rid of the front diff?

3. (this is a can of worms question..) I am aiming for around 350hp at the treads...i am more interested in responce and torque than outright HP, am i better to use the twin set up ar a smaller BB single turbo?

Finally i have an excellent dry sum set up off my race car that i was considering adapting to the new sump, does anyone know what the optimum delivery rate and pressure is for the RB26 motor?

Thanks guys, ill be sure to post up pics throughout the build as i am sure there will be some "raised" eyebrows along the way :P

1. RB25det gearbox is the best bolt up option (anything else i.e. RB20det box wont last)

2. take out diff and get RB26 sump modified to suit RWD application

3. 350hp is done with stock setup

Hi mate,

I remember reading somewhere that the RB25 steel sum will fit? this would be easier as i can then fabricate the dry sum pick up points, i have a TIG but not suited for alloy..
