Seat Belt Extention

Hey team, Got some recaro seats in the gtr and the object that the seatbelt buckles into sits way to far down next to the seat. Does anyone know of a way of overcoming this? I was thinking a possible extension to the seat belt clip-in object? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to get the frame modified and move the mounting hole for the buckle to where you need it. It shouldn't take long for someone to modify if they know what they're doing.. and I'd want them to if they're playing around with your seatbelt. Try contacting Idealseat as they are the Aus distributors for Recaro. Idealseat are in Melbourne but they will no doubt have a distributor up there or know of someone to try.

interested, have the same issue with my bride seats, currently using metal plate extension but would like something that is able to flex

Are the objects the seat belt buckles into generic? e.g. going down to a wrecker and finding one that is longer than the standard gtr ones?

nope not generic, the eye part that clips in has a different shape, and will only clip into specific belt holders

ur other option is to the change the seat belts as a set, I may be going down this route unless I find a compatible seat belt holder from another nissan
