R33 Door Lock Broken

Hey guys

Ive had some major dramas with the door lock on my R33 the driver door is locked shut. Central locking is working fine. However something must have broken inside the lock itself NOT the lock barrel.

Will not open from inside or using the key.

Help!!!!

Ive been working on the door for the past few hours and managed to get it open using a long piece of round steel with a hook on the end.

I pulled the locking mechanism out and found that one of the round plasic clips that holds the lock together had the head broken off. This caused the parts inside to move arround and not work correctly.

Time for a new locking mechanism

For those interested the symptoms leading upto the door getting jammed closed were that the door would not lock sometimes even if I was inside the car pushing the inside lock button to the closed position the door would still open.
