It was Skyline heaven here on the weekend. There was 12 GTR's entered in rally tas, a couple of 32's some 33's & 3 34's.

Had a 34 in my garage on sunday afternoon, the crew needed to service it before a rally event in Vic this week. Wicked machine! huge brakes!

The guys that where crewing are from Tilbrook Auto & Dyno in S.A. Top blokes & really new there Skyline shit!

Will be catching up again when Targa rolls around. Unfortunately the best placed GTR in the rally was Tilbrooks 34 in 8th place.

What happend to th whites gtr that was placed second on Saturday ?

Hopefully not the same problem as happend last year in Targa.

Who was the driver of the tilbrook r34? last year steven Glenney was the only one sponsored by them.

Should meet up when Targa comes around. The best place i've found is on the sunday when they all go into scrutineering. Saw some mad beasts there last year.

Not long to go till targa now.

Cheers Lavers

Whites R34 shat another engine. Peter Moore was driving the Tilbrook sponcered R34. Steve Glenny is now rallying WRX's (shame!), his white R33 was here though, brought by a fella from NSW. I will be heading for the prologe at Georgetown this year for Targa. Some guys I know have been & they rekon it's a great day.

I cant wait for targa!. My mates and i take the week off and follow them around. Saw 7 stages last year (had a few beers inbetween!). The sideling was great because it was wet and you could see how the GTR`s handling differed from each model. R32`s seem to hang the arse out for ages before the ATTESA kicks in.

What are the whites doing wrong with the gtr? last rally tas they crashed this one they blew an engine and in targa they blew a head gasket.

What do you have to do to be a marshall for targa tim? Whats it like? do you see any of the action meet any of the people etc.

Yeah wogboy Georgetown is a good day but if you have the time the sideling is the ducks nuts of targa.

Checked yesterday and their are sixteen Skylines already entered in Targa 14 R's

Looks like its gunna be another good year.

just about anyone can be some sort of marshall, the majority are just to set up the stage and or just keep an eye on things to put it plainly (keep crowds back a safe distance etc).

you get to see some good action in this position, but you don't really do anything.

My dad is a chief marshall and he requires a CAMS licence for that.

I am just a runner good thing to do cos you get to meet all the drivers.

    • Yes, I know🙄 but the sequential is not in my budget... don't want to reduce power neither, so looks like I'm stuck in the rabbit hole🤣
    • You’ll be very upset when you bust that too not to mention the gearing totally sucks. Don’t do it.
    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
