Can Anyone Name This Part

Its part of the cooling system, top radiator hose goes into it.

The brass looking cylinder thingy?

any suggestions on its name and/or how to fix it

It's basically a T point, there is a hard line that connects into it from the back. You can't actually get rid of it really

there is nothing in it to fix

Tiny picture but that looks like an RB20 in an R32?

If so, it's part of the metal water pipe that runs back along the engine underneath your plenum. If that's the case your local Nissan dealer should be able to get you a brand new one for around $120ish.

Yeahhh it is, sorry haha didn't say that in first post. Sweet, : ) thanks for that. Is it just a matter of taking the intake manifold off?

oh right

yeah you'll have to take the manifold off, it's not a small job though. set yourself a weekend aside

while you have the whole manifold off, replace all the clamps and coolant hoses that run under the manifold and behind the engine there is something like 7 or 8 of them

they will cost you about $300 from nissan but it's well worth it while you have the manifold off because it's a f**king cunt of a job to do with the manifold on, practically impossible really (i had a hose under there split on me a while ago)

Alright thanks heaps. Just adds to the list of things to do. Have to get the alternator rebuilt cause coolant pissed all over it and now its got no charge...yay thanks tho
