just wanting to get some opinions from fellow skyline owners, i have now for a while wanted to install CF N1 vents into my standard series 2 front bar, i have never seen it and personally think it will look very good,

i like the standard front bar with the mspec lip, which i have and have no intention of changing it, just making it a little different,

ive already moved the number plate from its standard location and cut out the little bit were it used to sit, so it look a little more GTR ish. a small change but one i think looks good,

ive also got the CF fog light surrounds coming and a CF topsecret style bonnet coming,

all opinions welcome

thanks Dan

yes i think it will look good. I have the trial front bar on my 96 series 1.5. i have always thought of turning it into a series 2 front, but i love the N1 vents. Would like to see how it looks. you can get crabon or plastic ones or maybe fibreglass.

The carbon intercooler vents from us are slightly different, by the looks of it

$170 for SAU members including postage via express

you can team it up with one of these Intercooler surrounds, as fitted to a customer's VCam R32 Midori car we sourced for him

Oh god, here we go again. More f**king money to spend damnit!

Very keen on one of those intercooler surrounds if we can make it fit.

The main thing im worried about with those N1 vents is what would be visible behind it. I'm guessing the reo bar which would look a bit homo.

yep intercool surorund is way cool I want measurements to see if the 32gtr one fits??? wouldnt that just be magical...

but the N1 vents, I dont think there is enought room to make em look good its getting kinda crowded and yeah theres just a reo behine them...

hhmmm i was hoping it would show intercooler, if it is the reo, it would need to be painted black,

matty what is the cost for the vents, as i was looking at the just jap ones, and what is the difference between the 32 and 33 ones

im pretty keen on giving this a go however,

there are differences in the cut, as 33 &32 GTR bumpers are different in their angles

"universal" ones will not fit both or any that well tbh.

the ones we do are made & sold here in Japan, for each model (not the 34 tho)

cost $170 shipped if your a SAU member :)

normal price is more like $200

if you want a set all i need is

full name

delivery address

email address

contact number

car type

that series 2 front bar with N1 Vents is really cool. Unfortunately it would definately show reo bar. I know my reo bar with trail bar has been cut way back. You could put mesh behind and spray reo same colour and would notice much i would think.

Yeh I'm defaming going to give this a go, hope I'll have some spare cash later this week,

As far as the reo bar, I'll start by painting it black and see how that looks, if I'm still in happy with it I'll cut it up, I mean who's skyline is legal any way these days

As far as the comment about it getting crowded, I've looked alot at the 33 & 32 N1 bars and I don't think it will be any more crowded on the GTS bumper compared to the GTR bumpers

I'll post before and after pics when i get it done

Awesome! Keen to see how it goes!

Also with regards to those intercooler carbon surrounds. How about we just get them made up to fit the S2 front bar in a group buy? Get PSI Parts or some one to try and fit the R32 GTR one to a GTST and see how it fits, it it doesn't fit to well they an hack it up into a mould and begin production :D

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
