Dyno Day - All Proceeds To Premiers Flood Appeal - 26Th Feb

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Mercury Motosport is hosting a dyno day with 100% of the proceeds going towards the Premiers Flood Appeal, to help raise money for the victims of the recent & devastating Queensland floods.

This fundraising event has been registered with the Premiers Flood Appeal (fundraiser promoter reference number TF/11/3474) & we are hoping to raise $4000-$5000 for this appeal (this amount has also been lodged with the PFA) :)

DETAILS ARE:

WHEN? Saturday 26th February

WHERE? Mercury Motorsport Premises - 2/278 Newmarket Road, Wilston (behind the Lifeline store)

WHAT TIME? From 9am onwards (possibly til 7pm)

WHO CAN ENTER? Any cars can enter - 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder, 8 cylinder, 10 cylinder, 12 cylinder, rotary, forced or naturally aspirated, of any power & almost all fuels (just not straight methanol - for safety reasons!)

ENTRANTS RECEIVE: 3 power runs per car, dyno graph printout

COST TO & HOW TO ENTER: $100 per vehicle (limited spots, enter early!) On-the-day entry is accepted, however pre-entry is recommended to ensure you secure a spot. Simply deposit $100 into the following account: Bank: Bendigo, BSB: 633000, Account Number: 132835349, Account Name: Mercury Motorsport Australia Pty Ltd. NOTE: Please use "DYNO" + your name as a reference for the deposit ie. DYNO JOHN SMITH. Print out transaction & bring it with you on the day!)

N.B Entry forms will be allocated to all entrants on the day & all entrants will be required to sign a declaration form

BBQ (steak/sausage/onion/salad sandwiches) & cold softdrinks/water will be available to buy, plus we will be holding raffles - prizes donated by Turbosmart & Mercury Motorsport - & donation buckets will be present (again, ALL proceeds from these will go to the appeal).

Entry spots have already started to fill up & this will be a great social day for a great cause so even if you do not wish to enter your vehicle, please come along & support this appeal by making a small donation to the collection bucket.

Best of luck for the day. Pity they chose the Premiers Flood Appeal. The Cow has made it means tested for max $45K income, so those who earn more than that will not receive help. There should be no discrimination when helping people in need. Meanwhile, this money will sit there earning interest that this corrupt labour govt will use to underwrite their bottom line. Blighs' corruption knows no bounds.

Personally I'd prefer the Red Shield Appeal. The Salvos do so much good.

Hi everyone!

Just to let you know that the entry fee for our Flood Appeal Dyno Day has been halved to $50 as it appears that not too many of us are very charitable!

So, spots are starting to fill up now, if you were thinking about entering but the price was holding you back - enter now by depositing your $50 into our account!

Help us support such a great cause...

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
