Trust (Quaife) 6 Speed Dogbox Layshafts

I am looking into having a TRUST (Quaife) 6 Speed dogbox layshaft (Part # E-3F1-11) remade locally in Australia and would like to see if anyone would also be interested in this part. I know that Quaife no longer make this part, or at least, it will take months and plenty of $$$ to have one made. Looking at having it made by one of the well-known box manufacturers in Aus.

This is effectively an EOI, however, I will be making at least two as I know of another box that needs a layshaft as these seem to be a common breakage part in these boxes.

Just bought one of these boxes and if it is a common problem or break one would definately be interested in getting one made.

maybe they can design one without the splines running on the middle bearings...

Quaife actually have 'upgraded' the layshaft at one point, but it still isn't perfect, hence the reason for trying to rectify this issue 'aftermarket'.

BOUGHT A QUAIFE GEARBOX THIRD TIME OUT SNAPPED THE LAYSHAFT NEED TO EITHER BUY A SECOND HAND ONE OR GET ONE MADE. I KNOW OF ONE OTHER PERSON THAT NEEDS ONE AS WELL.

IF YOU WERE GOING TO MAKE ONE NOW WOULD BE THE TIME AS FOUR ARE NEEDED.

WHO WERE YOU GOING TO USE TO MAKE IT, AND DO YOU KNOW WHY THEY BRAKE, IS IT CAUSE OF THE SELECTOR SHAFT'S SELECTING MULTIPLE GEARS?

bozzo as far as im aware doesnt have the tooling for gears. they can make the shaft but not sure on the gear cutting.

Any luck with getting the lay shaft made gents? Just broke mine on the weekend.
