hello everybody

up for sale is my 1992 R32 GTS-T type M.

i bought this car in the intent of using it as a daily in june last year. 2 months later i got a new job close to my house so i start walking and catching public transport.

and so unfortunately i have decided to sell the car as i don't really use it and its time for me to move on.

i am open to swaps as i will still need a car at some stage.

The previous owner imported it in 2003 when it came in from Japan as a 70,000km rating 4 car (still have auction sheets). So the K's are as genuine as

you can get, this isn't a freshly imported 20yr old car with 80,000km's on the clock but looks like it has done a million, it's a well looked after car

that mechanically is in great condition.

On the current tune with BP Ultimate the car gets about 9L/100Km's on the freeway and 12L/100Km's around town.

the car has currently done 202,XXX KM

List of factory features include:

- Upgrade factory option interior (GTR cloth - looks so much better than the normal black)

- Type-M so has the 4 pot front brakes and the crome grille insert.

Interior goodies:

- Ultra Auto Turbo Timer

- JVC EXAD KD-LHX555 CD/MP3/SD card/tuner headunit which has colour touch screen and 1GB SD card included.

- JL Audio 6" 2-way component splits in the front

- JVC 6" 2-way 200W speakers in the rear

- Mongoose M30 Alarm/immobiliser System

Exterior goodies:

- Front and rear strut tower braces

- 26mm Whiteline rear swaybar

- Rose joint tie-rods in front

- HSD HR Coilovers (Approx 1yr old, I put them in when I first bought the car as the previous shocks were leaking, are adjusted to be right on legal height)

- Trust Airinx pod filter

- Greddy pod to afm metal air intake

- Modified R34 GTT side mount intercooler (looks stock and good for 200kW)

- SSR Integral A2 lightweight japanese forged rims, 17x8" front, 17x9" back (beadblasted and powdercoated matt black)

- New Tyres front and 85% rear.

- DBA 4000 series slotted rotors on front with Racebrakes RB74 performance pads

- Braided brake lines all round with RBF600 Fluid

- Exedy heavy duty clutch

- GTR fuel pump

- 3" split SS dump/front pipe

- 5" metal cat cat converter

- 3.5" JASMA cat back exhaust (Nice and quiet, can hardly hear it)

- 1yr old RACV heavy duty battery

- Splitfire coilpacks and reconditioned ignitor module (Just before I got it)

- RB25 Turbo running R32 actuator for 12PSi, Tuned by Dr Drift and made 178.6Kw

- Exhaust side is wrapped in heatwrap from block to cat and painted black

- Power Steering rack was recoed approx 8months ago as it was leaking

- Gearbox was recoed at the start of the year as it started whining (have reciepts also had a couple of new gears put in)

- Urethane Rear subframe bushes

- HICAS has been completley removed, HICAS end of the powersteering pump only pumps fluid through the lines next to the radiator for cooling everything else has been removed and lockbar fitted.

The bad points

steering wheel is worn and has a cover on it for road worthy.

there a few small dings here and there but nothing major.

there is a section of paint missing on the bonnet. (see pictures)

small amount of damage to the R/H rear qtr panel, there is a crack in the lip of the wheel arch and a slight ripple in the panel towards the back of the car, no paint is missing, and is not noticeable unless you really look. Was hit by some nice person in a carpark that decided they didn't need to leave their details. (pics up shortly)

please note car is currently registered until the 8th of may 2011.

aslo the car will not come with a R.W.C as the i had recently been offered to sell the car and on getting it ready for road worthy (new front tyres) the buyer didnt have the funds.

also i have all the receipts, dyno sheets, import papers and road worthys i still have the one from when i bought the car.

price $8500 ono

    • Then today, I went to visit a man with an r33 hat Peter and Road and Race sorted the alignment. As it is being set up for general track/hillclimbs etc it has a heap of caster (7o), less camber than I am used to (1o front and 2o rear, as the caster looks after that in turns without the braking downsides), 3mm front toe out and 0 toe rear. Will see how that goes and track tyre wear to see if it does need more camber, but adjsustment is also limited with nismo arms and adjustable bushes at only 1 end. It does have a bent inner tie rod on the driver's side front but as it came up within spec I'll just leave that as is. So, that is getting close to my chapter of this story....could of tidy ups then a shakedown in early October before it finds a new home.
    • So, it went to Unigroup for a run in and tune on Friday, everything went (generally) well. In terms of fixes, the engine was good and there were no leaks. It needed plugs (I hadn't checked them because the coil pack cover was on a new engine and I couldn't imagine they weren't new.....but turns out the temporary plugs to just keep it sealed up were in there.....new plugs gapped to 0.8 and it was fine from there. Also, there was a little preload on the clutch slave which caused some slip. I haven't had the box off so I don't know what the clutch looks like; my guess it is brand new and the pedal had not been adjusted....backed that off a bit and it held fine. Last thing will have Dose crying....the idle especially when cold is a bit difficult between the cams, forward plenum, atmo blow off valve and an 80s air management system. It is fine when hot but a little uneven when cold, will see if I can sort or at least improve that one cold morning. Other than that, tuning went fine. It made 245 but was pulled back to 227 which 2 opportunities to improve in future. 1. The factory CAS is not great and was jumping around at high RPM, so Mark took 2 degrees out up top (that is why it stops making power and lost 20kw). Very safe this way and the extra power is available but will require a more modern ECU and better cam (or even better crank) sensor 2. The 2871 in factory housings is very big for a low mount, and the internal wastegate is too small, so it was creeping from mid range all the way to redline....the duty cycle on the boost controller is turned down a little for safety. That is much harder to fix, it would need a large external gate and that would require a whole bunch of other changes, so it will go as it is for now. It feels nice and healthy and safe, so should be good for about a billion laps like this.
    • what sort of caliper are they? If they are a slider and you gave everything a good clean, you might need to regrease the pins. My guess though is they will come good after some abuse as suggested above
