Hole in my roof and water leaking in....bloody real estate and body corp ain't going to fix it for weeks

You did not contract to pay your current rent for a unit with a hole in the roof you should talk to your agent and body corporate with a view to renegotiating the rent payable whilst the unsatisfactory condition exists........that should at least speed up repairs....be assertive

I was back on the goldcoast saturday.. wasn't too bad. Few leaves everywhere but no signs of devastation Sunday was nice and sunny. Nothing like up in Brisbane the other week where I literally did see 2x cars crushed by trees in the local neighbourhood.

Oh well, back to normal. Although I remember reading that the Gold Coast hasn't had a proper storm/cyclone for something like 30 years and is due for one.

Ah yes, the joys of being a renter... we managed to end a 12month lease after about 6 months without paying a cent as the agent had neglected to gives us the key for the garage even tho we asked every month. 4 doorz, I would definately speak to your agent, and even browse the web or call up your local tribunal (im not sure what its called in QLD).
