hypo31_abz
my hicas light came on today as i was driving on a straight road at about 80 kmh 10 mins straight driving. i tryed the HICAS Diagnostic but it didnt work. is that because i took off my battary terminal and then put it back on and then tryed the diagnostic, does the battary termanl have to be on for a amount of minutes for the diagnostic to work. i take out my terminal because my alternator is recked, so every time i turn off my car i take out the terminal so the battary doesnt drian. Moodles2
Taking the battery terminal off resets the error codes on a stock ECU. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/357005-hicas-light-on/#findComment-5710266 Share on other sites

Lippo
Its usually the steering angle sensor behind the airbag if you cant get it into diagnostic mode. Take the car to someone that has a scan tool capable of diagnosing hicas & you will no straight away what sensor it is.
