Hey Bodo mate, due to work sending me out west today, I'm going to call into the folks and get the intercooler and pipe for you, so if you like mate, we can do a swap on the weekend.

On another note, going to munchies tonight, anyone keen for a cruise?

hmm, thank you for pointing that out to me, sunday it is. had the 24th in my head for some reason. anyhoo now it's 2 sleeps till jap nats  a little extra time to prep the car and pull everything out of it.

Whats the cost on spectating? We were discussing it at happy laps but the missus was breaking my balls so I didn't get all the details.

Are you just going to get standard pads? when i get my rotors im still unsure of what pads to get.

yeah. i have no shakes or noises from the brakes, just a slightly long pedal. and the rear driver side makes a small grinding noise when cold. so im just gonna go the pads and see how i go. might get em machined aswell....maybe

don't quote me but normally $10-$20 per car unless they changed it. well 15 is non-judged show and shine category and 20 is judged, so really it shouldn't be more than that.

just checked it out, seems like its 10 bucks to spectate. which is all ima gonna do. who else is going??? my plan is to go in the morning if we all wanna meat up somewhere?? (gotta mow the lawn in the arvo) will be bringing Ben with me again. he loves his jap crap too

I'll probably be in depends on if this ear of mine stops f**king up on me

Sounds good, not worried about harries this week, after being there the last few weeks I have realized that there are way to many wankers, besides, be nice to see some of the other skyline Brisbane members

I am taking the day off work thursday to work on the Panda and do a few things around the place so if you have the day off Joe I may be able to have a bit of a look at your car

Hi Guys,

We did have a couple of complaints from the business owners last time you visted :(.

You're always welcome of course, but please keep in mind the following:

A) The parks along the side closed to the shops are 15 minute parks. We normally park in these anyway :P but with you guys adding to the numbers it didn't leave any parks for other customers. The parks on the side closest to the road and underneath the shops are all good. I'll try to make sure the regulars don't park in the 15 minute ones this week as well.

B) There were complaints about drinking, and emptys left lying around. It is probably best if you don't drink, but if you do try to be discrete and make sure the emptys end up in the bin.

It's a pain, but we don't want them calling the 5-0 on us (has happened before...) so it's best just to stay out of trouble.

Now that that's out of the way, look forward to seeing you :). I caught up with a few people yesterday at lakeside

A) Duely Noted.

B) Due to poor attitude of the responsible atendee they will not be joining us in the future, Appologies for you guys copping flack over it.

can't promise anything, and another item, due to me not keeping an eye on time frames, i unfortunately am not able to drive (still), get it back on the 13th of next month, so i wouldn't be able to come to you mate, but if you wanted to come over that would be fine

    • GCG is a good company, they're a major distributor for Garrett in Japan as well.
    • Nah, OEM washer bottle and brake fluid reservoirs are fine I don't know what it is with the plastic that Mazda used, some plastics, like the washer bottle and brake fluid res are fine, and still look new after 20 years use, where as the coolant expansion tank, and PS reservoir, that I replaced with new OEM items when I first got the car, turned yellow and started getting brittle a few years later If the dirty yellow stained plastics didn't trigger me there wouldn't be an issue, but they did, much like the battery bracket....... Meh As for going back to work full time to support car stuff, nope, why, because I own a Mazda NC MX5, not a Nissan R series Skyline 🤣
    • I've never heard of CJ-motor, so can't advise you on them. I'd just go straight to GCG for a GCG highflow though. Seems no point to use a middleman. I'm somewhat surprised that the price on the CJ site is lower than the GCG retail price. Even though CJ would get a discount of some sort, you would hardly expect them to give up so much margin. Maybe the price is out of date? Having said that "I'd go to GCG"...when I did my highflow, I went to Hypergear. I did this https://hypergearturbos.com/product/rb25dethighflow/#tab-dyno-results with the R34 OP6 450HP profile. With the BB centre (extra $400) and intially with the standard boost actuator, but I eventually got him to send me the high pressure one when I got to the point of being able to actually use it. Ends up costing the same sort of money as the GCG highflow, but this is, of course, the turbo that I KNOW has a shorter length core and so moves the comp cover rearwards. The GCG apparently doesn't do that. My mechanic also swears by the GCG highflow, given that we have another turbo rebuilder who does something essentialy the same as theirs, using Garrett wheels. He says it stands up at really low revs and makes good power. I haven't pushed my HG highflow past ~240-250rwkW yet (should have a little more in it, but unclear how much) and it does have a fairly gentle boost ramp. OK, it's much better now that I have gotten my boost controller tuned up on it.  A lot of my earlier unhappiness was because I couldn't keep the wastegate flap as closed as it needed to be (including some mechanical issues). I'd still prefer it to boost up nearly as quickly as the stocker, and it certainly a bit slower than that. So maybe the GCG one is worth the first look (for you).
    • Ok thanks 🙂 I will higly consider this. Any "known" company for a good reviews and experience to send that off? Is that CJ-motor good one? Or go straight to GCG site? I need to use VPN to even find some of those "shops" let alone access them 🙂
    • You can literally put in as much WMI as it takes to quench the combustion totally (and then back it off a little, obviously), and it will keep making more and more power. The power comes from the cooling effect of the water (and the meth) and the extra fuel (the meth, which also has massive octane). It is effectively exactly like running E85. One might be slightly better than the other, but they are damn close. But with either you can lean on the boost or the timing (or both) waaaay more than with just petrol and the results are similar. Here's the first thing I googled for an anecdotal bit of evidence. Can't access the attachment without being a gold member, but it is there for the getting if able to, or searched up elsewise perhaps. https://www.hpacademy.com/forum/general-tuning-discussion/show/wmi-vs-e85/
