R33 Door Mirror

Hey all,

Recently some fool decided to ride his bike too close to my car and he collected the side mirror knocking out the glass from the housing. It looks like this has happened before to a previous owner as the mount has glue all over it.

I took a look at how to get it back in as the glass is not damaged bar a very small chip on the edge but it doesn't want sit properly. I compared it to the passenger side mirror and it looks although it sites inside a cradle but i cant for the life of me get it to go back in.

I can only see 1 spring loaded screw that doesn't come away from the housing so the cradle wont come out of the pod. Does anyone have any experience with dismantling the housing?

Hesitant to pull too hard as i dont want to break the motor that sits behind it.
