Nothing much. Been quietly going about my business. Also been procrastinating a lot when it comes to doing up the car. I have a couple of parts I'd like to get put onto the car but I just can't be bothered. Perhaps one day I'll hit up my mate and get everything done.

Nice to see you've got big plans for yours ;)

You might want to get a mechanical diff centre, some better brakes and good tyres to suit your car's new found superpowers! (if you haven't already).

So.............when are the Twmba boys gonna meet up and do a little cruise and/or spirited drive? Its been a rather long time no?

It sorta feels like we're (when I say "we", I mean we as a group and not me having a different sub-species of car :P ) a dying breed and all the time, the number of skylines keep increasing around town. I swear I've come across no less than five 33s that have to be new to town.

Am working on 2 cruise's before the end of the year including the Christmas party again, lets hope for no storms this time and another for a drive then hit up indoor karts.

Could do the 23rd. Would you guys be able to travel half way to say Ipswich? Or we could make it a Saturday lunch...

23rd is good for me. No problems travelling to Ipswich

Someone please get a photo of mini hulk in his clown car.

You know.

For the lulz.

Lol at mini hulk, at my birthday party last Saturday he tried to bear hug me and lift me up and failed

That's it ill walk to Ipswich, no better yet I'll jump on the deadly treadly... Nah stuff that, chrissssss

I got a push bike I can lend you. Is set up for me but put some stilts on and you should be able to ride it.

yes

Where is a good place that does early bird specials?

Fyp bro, learntospellcheck :)

Also I had to google beguilement so were even lol, also I think tony just popped up in a Facebook post I saw lol

Thanks for the speelink check fella.

Also, I thought a big word might get some questioning! :whistling:

What is in the works for the /Friday night dinner up here? Do I need to find a place for dinner or we could even have a BBQ at my place?

I've got a few ideas in mind, but feel free to give suggestions. After all, it's your town/city/empire...

Tony I'd go with the 23rd. Friday night dinners are best.

PANCAKE MANOR!

nah I have no idea what's available in ipswitch

Pancake Manor is not a bad place. Good feed, great Pancakes.

Whiet boiz carnt speel.

Friday night dinners are good for most people. We tend to have boozey Friday lunches at work if we've had a good week, so driving to Ipswich after that is highly questionable. Unless you want to pick me up Scotty. ;)

We'll discuss venue further tonight and organise it for next Friday. Steak is good. Tony likes steak. Martin likes sausage.

I know a few places but feel free to throw some ideas around. Maybe one of the other Tooowoomba guys have a good place in mind?

Friday night dinners always end the same way for me, blind rotten drunk

Lime5nine cafe will fill the bill.

Sounds good to me

Heading to your fair city on the 24th of dec for a couple of weeks,

son lives there,be nice to catch up an have a chat with you guys. :action-smiley-069:

Will be doing a cruise around then. Always good to meet fellow SAU members

Spotted Noel floating around down here before no idea where he's gone now :/

So why didnt you hook up bish, I went and parked over near the EFI/ERD crew with Benny's red VL.

Ran an 8.7 before they hit some fuel pressure issues. Keen to see how far it can go.

I was in the 'hatsu my beast has no motor in it ATM :(, yer this is the "ignite" vl, I saw it spit the catch can fitting (or something along those lines) but that was the only run I saw of it.

    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
    • So now we have a radiator with no attachments whatsoever. It lifts up with a particularly tight spot between the drivers side air box mount and the lower radiator outlet, but if you've got this far you will sort that too. This is the lower mounts with the rad out so you can see where the rubber bushes go, it is a straight shot upwards Done! Assembly is the reverse of disassembly, with blood less likely to be shed.
    • Right, onto the second last trick. The Air Con condenser is mounted to the front of the radiator and stays in the car when the radiator is removed. There are 2x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the condenser to the radiator, remove those The bottom of the condenser is attached to the radiator with clips. You need to lift the condenser out of those clips and clear (up, then forward). f**ked if  could work out how to do that last bit with the front bumper on. I hope you can, and you share the trick.  Bumper removal probably deserves its own thread one day once I've recovered the will to live, but basically you need to remove the wheels, front inner guard liners (clips and 10mm headed bolts), the self tapper between the guard and the bumper at the rearmost point of the bumper (same as an R32 that bit), any remaining clips at the top/front of the grill, an absolute bastard design with a plate that holds the top of the bumper above the headlight each side (only 1 bolt which is tricky to get to, but the plate catches 2 places on the bumper and must be removed....carefully!) and push clips between the bumper and guard under the headlight. If you've done all that you will be faced with wiring for the fog lights on both sides and in ADM Q50 RS at least, 4 nasty tight plugs on the driver's side for the ADAS stuff. So, the clips at the bottom look like this on drivers side (looking from the front) And on the passenger side (also from the front), you can see this one is already out Clearance on both of these are super tight; the condenser needs to move up but the upper rad support mount prevents that, and the radiator can't move down far because it is (rubber) mounted. Once you achieve the impossible and drop the condenser off those mounts so it does not stop the rad moving, you are good to go
    • OK, next the shroud needs to come off and there are a couple of tricks. Firstly, there is a loom from near the passenger side headlight to the fans, coolant temp sensor etc and there is no plug to undo.  In my case I was OK to leave the shroud on top of the engine so I just undid the passenger side fan plug and about 10 of the clips which gave enough free wire to put it aside. The fan plugs were super tight, the trick I used was a small falt screwdriver to push down on the release tab, then a larger flat screwdriver to lever the plug out of the fan unit....be careful with how much force you apply! If you need to remove the shroud altogether for some reason you will have to deal with all the plugs (tight) and clips (brittle)....good luck. I removed all of the clips and replaced them with cable ties that I will just cut next time. Also, in the Red Sport / 400R at least, the intake heat exchanger reservoir hose is bolted to the shroud in 2 places with 10mm headed bolts; so remove them (the hose stays in the car; no need to undo it at the t fittings down at the radiator lower mount. Once you've dealt with the HX hose and the wiring loom, there are 3x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the shroud to the radiator; remove those.   The shroud then lifts out of the bottom mounts where it sits on the radiator, up and onto the engine out of the way. Simples
