Because manifolds are cheap?

lol no because it's like the strongest part of the whole damn setup provided it's not some cheap chinese p.o.s knockoff with poor welds / no braces :/

Nitrous backfires have been known to explode the composite LS inlets....

Mmm think they only really beefed them up a bit in the 94's yeh? But then and again it's probably not even that bad....I reckon it's the same load of crap as all that ceramic turbo paranoia and myth spreading. I bet that slightly thinner pump drive on the older 32 only failed on a handful of occasions just like the ceramic turbos under extreme conditions way outside of design envelope.

But in saying that I'd only ever want a late model one too...mainly because it's younger ;)

What's happening on Sunday? Was that the bbq/drinks?

Cruise and lunch this time. When the weather is warmer will do bbq and drinks

2nd month 93 I think is when they changed the oil pump setup

Nice, yeh I should be free for this

Chris is spot on. As well as getting the brakes the v spec also got the r33 crank. I have a 33 crank too. On the topic of exploding manifolds, anyone remember when Rhys McGreggor did it on the heat treatments GTR at jambo? Put a huge reverse don't in the bonnet.

I saw a photo of that, white 32?

That's the one!

Also can't beleive you guys use heiffer creek road as a play ground. Last time I was there it was scary as f**k. It was a goat track with semis on the wrong side of the road every second corner. Must have fixed it up a bit since then.

    • Just throwing around ideas, does it need to be in the compressor cover? Why not the hot side piping?
    • 1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)

    • Why are you so adamant on going M12? Why not follow Brad (GTSBoy) suggestion. You're talking moving from a 1/8" size, to a 1/2" effectively. 4 times bigger. Why skip the commonly available sizes in between? The bigger you go, the more likely you are to strip the threads out at a later date, as guaranteed, someone will put a huge spanner on the M12 and really tighten it up, and you're only in thin wall, so not a lot of threads to engage!
    • Hi. Yeah thanks. Car is already at tuners and it staying there to resolve "many" issues they do not like. So it is in a good hands. Getting a good tune on that Nistune ECU too so the car would be good. Just needs a little tune up and love.
