Yeah they should have the race track open more so I can go there whenever I want to drive fast at night.

NIGHT RACING YEAH!!!

failing that

get organised - where is the underground? what happened to the good old days when the oldies scanned the police? Maybe set up our own network of citywide cameras and call it a public service where we can monitor the traffic too.

be like the bike gangs - thats why they have noise exemptions, leaned on the right people. In their case it was very clear cut, every-one of those bikes is noisy.

If they keep persecuting drivers who go to night time racing so that it is safer for the public - they will end up with more daytime racing and -

people driving so crazy and killing themselves because they know the cops are going to take away their $70,000 car, their hobby, their life, and they can't get the money back - might as well go fighting the corrupt gov't system like Ned Kelly.

people take out a police car when you go so that the police get the blame.

Just ram and destroy the police cars so they don't bother coming to night racing again.

police are members of society too - start making police friends so you know when the raid are.

disclaimer: this is an artistic expression of feelings not a inducement to commit crime ok people.

from that rta website (top of page 3...but its 4/27).......does anyone know what a "misleading numberplate" is?....coz the proposal is a fine of $300/3 points....is that like having "GTR-123" on a GTST? wouldnt want 2 get busted

Edge, no offense but how irresponsible and immature can you get?

Like many here have said. Leave the racing to the tracks. Yes people race at night, but who says no one will be run-over at night? you think people only go out in the day? The point is, even if you race at night, there is still a CHANCE that some1 may be killed including the driver and thus racing on the track, at least the risk of running someone over or killing urself is minimised.

Remember police are there to help and protect us, not their to fu*k us up. Although i do admit their are the occasional wanka of a pig who gets all ****y and tries to screw you up just coz they have the power to do so. But GENERALLY, cops are nice if you are nice to them.

it is the same risk at the track to both driver and spectator

as if there are any spectators that can't see night racing is happening and choose to attend at their own risk

what are they doing in an industrial zone at 00:00-2:00hours anyway?

The police should turn a blind eye to responsible behaviour such as night racing in a industrial as opposed to a residential zone. Or at least to a non built up area until such time as there is a race track that opens at night.

All i can say is when the hell is workcover going to crack down on stupid cops!!!!!. I came around a blind corner tonight (below the speed limit yes) and what do ya know an RBT. Some ****STICK cop thought oh gee this looks like a good spot. Yeah if you want to get run over, no vest, no sign just a light saber. The rude knob jockey didn`t even say hi.... if they want respect from us this is not the way to go about it. I dont speed in suburbia and id like to think i am not an idiot on the road. but when the police see an import they start wetting their pants with joy, wow lets all go let good ol Bob carr screw us in the ass. The V8`s don`t cop it just us turbo nuts. Bullshit i say.

but anyway nice pram does that come with A/C

You idiot.

Your comparision between racing in an industrial area and racing at a dedicated drag strip is missing a few minor details. Police are there to protect the publics safety, you cannot brand street racing in an industrial area as responsible, its still a public street. You also neglected the fact that at a drag strip there are facilities in place to deal with any unfortunate incidents that might occur with ambulance and other safety staff permanently onsite and ready to respond immediately if something happens.

Now you tell me, what happens if someone has an accident while racing in one of your so called industrial areas without onsite medical attention?

    • Hi all,   long time listener, first time caller   i was wondering if anyone can help me identify a transistor on the climate control unit board that decided to fry itself   I've circled it in the attached photo   any help would be appreciated
    • I mean, I got two VASS engineers to refuse to cert my own coilovers stating those very laws. Appendix B makes it pretty clear what it considers 'Variable Suspension' to be. In my lived experience they can't certify something that isn't actually in the list as something that requires certification. In the VASS engineering checklist they have to complete (LS3/NCOP11) and sign on there is nothing there. All the references inside NCOP11 state that if it's variable by the driver that height needs to maintain 100mm while the car is in motion. It states the car is lowered lowering blocks and other types of things are acceptable. Dialling out a shock is about as 'user adjustable' as changing any other suspension component lol. I wanted to have it signed off to dissuade HWP and RWC testers to state the suspension is legal to avoid having this discussion with them. The real problem is that Police and RWC/Pink/Blue slip people will say it needs engineering, and the engineers will state it doesn't need engineering. It is hugely irritating when aforementioned people get all "i know the rules mate feck off" when they don't, and the actual engineers are pleasant as all hell and do know the rules. Cars failing RWC for things that aren't listed in the RWC requirements is another thing here entirely!
    • I don't. I mean, mine's not a GTR, but it is a 32 with a lot of GTR stuff on it. But regardless, I typically buy from local suppliers. Getting stuff from Japan is seldom worth the pain. Buying from RHDJapan usually ends up in the final total of your basket being about double what you thought it would be, after all the bullshit fees and such are added on.
    • The hydrocarbon component of E10 can be shittier, and is in fact, shittier, than that used in normal 91RON fuel. That's because the octane boost provided by the ethanol allows them to use stuff that doesn't make the grade without the help. The 1c/L saving typically available on E10 is going to be massively overridden by the increased consumption caused by the ethanol and the crappier HC (ie the HCs will be less dense, meaning that there will definitely be less energy per unit volume than for more dense HCs). That is one of the reasons why P98 will return better fuel consumption than 91 does, even with the ignition timing completely fixed. There is more energy per unit volume because the HCs used in 98 are higher density than in the lawnmower fuel.
    • No, I'd suggest that that is the checklist for pneumatic/hydraulic adjustable systems. I would say, based on my years of reading and complying with Australian Standards and similar regulations, that the narrow interpretation of Clause 3.2 b would be the preferred/expected/intended one, by the author, and those using the standard. Wishful thinking need not apply.
