yeah it doesnt have coils it just has lower springs i get what you mean :D

a set of coils would make it look mean but i dont really wanna spend 1.2k+ and then 200 for installation

Install them yourself

I'll be doing it myself for the first time, was thinking of writing up a guide, but haven't quite decided on it yet. >_<

EDIT: No idea on how much it will cost, shouldn't be more than $100 I reckon, all you have to do is take 1 bolt off the bottom and 2 off the top.

I think processed simply means the order you made online has been well .. processed and they payments been received I guess

But no I dont think they've shipped it out by the Processed stage haha

On final inspection it becomes "shipped" when they have

Yea, same with most sites I buy from, usually goes from Awaiting payment, Processing then Shipped.

Credit card would be an instant payment, I checked and the payment did go through, it's being sitting on processed since Tuesday when I bought it, but nothing else after.

I just want a simple email from them telling me whats going on, but it's seems impossible.

I can't be stuffed waiting for them to get them in stock as there are heaps of other places that have them in stock and can be dispatched immediately.

Supposdley there were 3 sets in stock when i bought them though...

might mean that their still packing em up for you mate :)

After 2 days, 3rd coming?

I only ordered 1 set of coilovers, I hear people ordering half cuts, various engine components and receiving them in record time.

Quite frustrating really.

Thats not too bad, sometimes they take some time to pack it up and send it off

Generally I expect all my orders to be 1-2 weeks longer than what they say itll take just due to ineffiencies .. sometimes im pleasantly surprised :)

Justjap may also have more orders to process/pack so it may take awhile since their a bigger business

although if they are bigger they should really be more efficient ...

how long did they say itll take for you to receive the package once its been shipped?

"Normal Australia Post: 3-21 days (Subject to Australia Post delivery timeframes and delivery destination)", that's to do with Aus post though, they haven't handed it to them yet.

They do say "We dispatch customer orders daily, meaning fast and efficient delivery, direct to you."

Yet they can't dispatch a simple set of Coilovers.

What really gets on my nerves though is they haven't replied to a single email or PM.

I generally expect emails/pms to take a day or two to get a reply back mate

People can't constantly be at the computer answering emails etc! I would have expected a call to get through though

and LOL at 3-21 days for shipment, thats a huge margin haha

no matter what the company says i generally expect about a week or so before they ship the order out

and also that statement We dispatch customer orders daily, meaning fast and efficient delivery, direct to you."

may mean that they dispatch SOME customer orders daily, they may not be able to pack and send every order out on that day itself!

just relax and wait for em mate, if it takes any longer than 21 days then thats the time to start getting worried but for now just relax :)

Yea, I understand, I actually sent them my first email a few days ago, if you have a read around or look at their Trader ratings, everyone boast how good their communication is and how they ordered x time and got it x time the next day.

I expected to get my call through as well, they have 6 phone lines!

I guess I'll just have to wait it out.

Next time I might go with a different business.

Its a shame when a business loses customers just cos they couldnt be reliable and pick up their phones.

it'd bugger me off when they dont respond when i try to get in touch with them though, especially when its an expensive purchase.

probably why i still prefer going to stores and buying stuff instead of online even though its probably cheaper, i just like to deal with people i can see and stuff

Exactly, even through eBay I get snappy responses from sellers, it's extremely frustrating knowing your out of pocket 1.3K and the business is not bothering to reply, especially when they have a well talked about reputation. :spank:

I'll wait it out this time, but I don't think there will be a next time.

if they have a good reputation im quite sure that theres a good reason why their not able to get back in touch with you or something

if theyve got the best prices i wouldnt let just one bad experience with them throw me off, unless i never received the goods or anything or it came alot later ..

just remember with those 'BC coilovers' dont go raising and lowering your car just because you want to... whenyou change the ride height significantly you really need camber adjustments to match, changing the height and camber is not someone anyone can just do...

I run bilstein and lowered spring with all the camber adjustment and sways etc.... and got a professional alignment done from a specialist workshop, not pedders or jax, a decent workshop who specialised in suspension setups for extreme 4wds, track & rally cars and it made all the difference...

I find no need to change the height from street to track and yep Im all the same height at both side of the car and i installed all the parts myself but got a good 4 wheel alignment done...

its true what was mentioned earlier about monotube and twin tube shocks... I think cheap coilovers have a placebo effect on most people, and a shock and spring setup no matter what it is for our cars is still called a coilover.

    • Nah. Was just wondering if you were having a small stroke or if there was some slur/gaf/inside joke that I wasn't aware of.
    • That was a fark up, it's Salamanca Place I was thinking of. And now I'm curious as to what potential slur/gaf I have caused with Salamander Road, ha ha!
    • Actually everyone on the roads was really well behaved. The only person that did any minor tailgating was a local hoon in a Turbo Focus. Unfortunately we weren't going the same way so there was no grand initial D touge battle. Lots of people pulled over and let me through. The amount of "Hey man nice car, omg skyline, nice 34 man woo" was suprising. Like really suprising. Like almost annoying. My partner was obviously surprised, she'd never seen anyone in the real world point out the car/like the car/want to chat about the car before, so to have like 3 people per day mention it was notable, I could finally say SEE? SOMEONE THINKS THEY'RE COOL. Everyone was also pretty suprised about the weather. Every day was dry and about ~13-14C. Mount Wellington had a sign that said they close the gates at 9pm and I was heading up there at about ~7:30. It was VERY apparent that conditions were getting significantly worse by the minute on the way up and down. The road on the mountain was terrible though, it's no driving road. I have various suspension related questions now. Luckily it was only about 20 minutes from where we were staying to the top of the mountain as said Google maps. We only had the 2 nights in Hobart. We went to the Farm Gate Market though which was really good - And went down to the Hastings Thermal springs/caves down there during the day. I'd definitely be up for going back again, so luckily there's a few more sights yet to see. Didn't get to do the west coast/queenstown/cradle mountain so this was supposed to be a 'scouting' trip anyway of sorts if I were to one day do/take part in/organize a more car-focused trip. As for the boat, it wasn't bad. Well it was bad, but not in the way you're thinking. We did the night trip which leaves at 6:45 (though you have to be there ~2 hours earlier) and arrives the next morning at about 6am. There is nothing to do on the ship. If you plan accordingly and bring a book/tablet/show to watch/charger you can just chill out, take some Travacalm and just sleep through it. The food there is an extremely basic buffet that costs $32 a plate, or $14 for a $3 pizza. The way back we had a travel kettle and a few different types of cup noodles and made our own tea/coffee in the room. This was a far superior way to do it. At the very least book one of the rooms with beds. I guess as we were in the off season we didn't have room mates. You get an option for rooms with 4 beds (2x bunks) or a room with just the two bottom beds. There's also some option for a deluxe queen bed but it's much pricer. We've been on sleeper trains in Asia before so we figured this is similar (and it was)
    • You just gotta be really, really, really clear and decisive with what you want your end product to be. 99% of people who want this conversion aren't "I want to run a 295 front tyre!" so they don't really need the widebody. They just want the OEM body to look a little less dumpy, so bonnet, bar, skirts job done with some camber, stretch, slam. It's when you want that, but then decide to pivot later you get big problems. See also if you're willing to get an all in one fibreglass bar, and you're willing to accept fibreglass problems like cracking the entire item on a driveway, instead of just a piece attached to the bottom, etc etc etc. Decide this all before buyin'.
