Help With Faulty Manufactured Turbo

hi everyone,

I bout a turbo from 999automotive not long ago its a KLS power spirit turbo also advertised on ebay but I got it from their shop

I finialy came around to getting it tunned and it made good power 229rwkw 650nm of tourqe but

There is a fault im trying to resolve with them

The turbo seams to make full boost 18 psi with waste gate completley open! Even with the actuator disconnected

My mechanic and me leed to beleve the wastegate hole is too small and causing it to boost

Anyone had this problem? With this turbo any feedback would be great

thats not new. thats the same problem with all the KKR430, 480 and 560s back in the days. Looks like just changed a name and kept on trading with the same old crap. Need to drill the whole out and fit in a larger flapper.

yeap, common problem.

Thats why you should stick with well tested brands like garrett. Skimping on costs usually causes more expense in the long run.

And, if someone has to sell turbos on ebay, then they can't be that great of a brand.

Also, having to run 18psi to make 229kw is pretty poor. It means your turbo is too small, or poor quality. You're asking for trouble running that much boost if your engine is standard too.

My engines internals are standard but everything else is upgraded fmic, injectors, exhaust, dump, power fc, z32,air intake

They warranted the turbo and giving me a brand new 1 tomorrow may try getting a better one out of them paying the diference
