Maybe its just me.. but I have A pillar gauges, and cops don't seem to care at all.

I've had several police cars drive right alongside me trying to stare me into doing something stupid and nary a peep. It even passed over the pits with them mounted, haha.

My car is fairly clean/understated though, I guess if your car was hektik drift spec it might be different..

yeah that's pretty much what the previous owner said, he's had the car for the last four years and never been done, been through RBT's etc.

But the previous owner didn't drive the car much, didn't attend any events or cruises.

I've never really liked the gauges on the pillar though, they attract attention, especially at night lit up like a xmas tree.

I'm always hitting them getting in and out, the glare at night, im just not a fan.

more importantly, i don't have points to waste, so anything that attracts attention, must go.

+1

Our WA Police don't seem to care much, several times I get pulled over for RBT/license check (once for speeding) with my 3 gauges (2 stuck on with double sided tape :whistling:) in plain view & they didn't seem to even notice or care.

I totally understand heaps of people would go through rbt's etc and nothing gets said. But i figure its because those guys aren't there to defect people. Thats not what they're doing that night.

different night, different place, different instructions,, and your unlucky enough to come across a defect station set up on the main road from the drifts to the city, or the main road out of a powercruise event ,,, Different story

The number of people who have pillar mounted gauges mean that the risk is small, but its still a risk, still a defect.

I have bad luck, I dont want to risk it

@ Autumn33 -- looks like a nice setup, looks good in the night shot. my gauges are too big to fit in that gap though.

Driving a Skyline (even stock) out on Friday night near the city is a defect risk in itself... :P
