Hey Jez id also like to know about whats illegal/what isnt... in regards to the spoiler, it looks pretty phat :P haha, but is it worth it. i guess its unique compared to the normal GTR wing. Ill do some research :P:rolleyes:

as stated above our laws here are vague and open to interpretation and how the coppers are feeling on the day they pull you up, suggest you paint the whole of the wing the same colour as the car (make sure the brake light works) as different colour panels/parts stick out like dogs gonads

I say don't put it on, our cars look heaps better without spoilers, and its not gonna get you any performance gain, if you want it to look tough, get some sort of bonnet scoop/vents, thats what i'm thinkin bout doin.

becarefull about cutting the bonnet for vents etc as it it can weaken the bonnet and if you cut through the bracing on the underside it can lead to a defect notice

Ok...so that leads me to another question....been thinking on the lines of getting a bonnet scoop...something that can be "stuck" on....not interested in it actually having a hole in the bonnet. Iv heard it is legal but needs to have mesh on it??? yes no maybe??

And yeah the wing is BLOODY heavy...so thinkin of keepin the stock one atm....(the search continues....)

Hey actually come to think of it...il put a pic up of the car now :)

You want a bonnet scoop without cutting a hole in the bonnet??

For starters, that's just gay R.I.C.E. shit that will draw unwanted attention for no reason.

Secondly, if you don't have a hole in your bonnet, why would you need to mesh the scoop??

stick on bonnet scoop lol, while ur at it buy an old scuba tank bottle paint the word NOS and cable tie it to ur roof. but if you do go ahead with the scoop it wont be illegal coz it doesnt do anything.

the general rule with scoops etc is that they cant be rear facing ie a wrx with forward facing scoop is fine, evo scoops that face toward the windscreen arent. we had alot of issues with the clowns down at the pits coz they didnt wanna rego brand new evos with factory rear facing scoops

Jez NF thats a sick looking 33 don't change the spoiler, that looks phat, as for the bonnet scoop i didn't say i was gonna be cutting holes in it myself, was talking bout getting an aftermarket pre-done bonnet, theres plenty of shops around aus willing to ship to ya as you would know, but to be worrying bout heat from the cops cause of an add on to bodywork wouldn't worry bout it as long as you don't drive like a nut.

hahaha.....I laughed when I read that

Thanks

And yeah.....even if i do get bodywork done its gonna be done "professionally" and so that it looks perfect...i love my car and everything iv done to it has been done the right way.

By scoop I mean a subtle one...just to make it a tad more agressive without losing the classy look...this car is not meant to look like a track car / a mean agressive loud obnoxious beast....my next drift car will fill that gap hopefully...this is my daily and has to look classy enuff for my lady while still pushin out the performance and look to please me...

Anyway...to get back on topic...thanks to PIG_31 for that link.......really clears up a lot of stuff.....good read

My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
