Just bought one second hand it doesn't seem to want to open up all the way I'm still getting flutter

The thumb screw is all the way out as far as it can go

Any ideas?

Yes I'm not all that keen on vent to atmosphere bovs

But it's better than no bov at all

Running no bov will cause no harm to the turbo. I don't think there has ever been a case where the usual flutter has killed a turbo... I'd feel safer with no bov as I hate the over fuelling issues with atmo. None the less, as above, check your piston. Maybe your atmo is too close to the turbo. I've got a turbo smart bov and it flutters a spilt second before the tsssh. its no longer on my car. It was way too close to the turbo.
