yea it is soft as u can pull the rod with your hands back not like the stock turbo where almost impossible to pull back the rod with your hand but it might hit 1 psi when that one time i drove it just real quick as test but the pre load has made it a lil hard

yea the rear wheel is still there i hope lol not like ive been thrashing it for it to full off and running 20psi.

i guess its mechanic time let them have fun with it lol.

im almost sure it has something to do with the actuator as ive just put it on and turbo spins great not seized and is getting oil and even if there was a dump pipe leak or loose bolts dont really think it stop it from creating boost.

even if the wastegate flap was jammed it will still make boost , althou very very laggy

but yeah is the rear wheel still on the turbo

i just took it for a drive around with the actuator adjusted preload and boosted up to like 5 pounds with normal driving but felt weird as in not much sucktion or release like my stock turbo but maybe need a tune now i guess.

ive hooked up the boost controller to, as the preload adjustment i dont want hitting like heaps of boost as i had to get the rod tight on for it to work so should i just turn the boost on my turbo smart down and go from there or will it not work as ive adjusted the rod like heaps to be tight on and dont have much more threads on the rod so thinking it might go high on boost level.

atleast your getting some pressure now.

What ECU have you got?

Take it to your tuner, see what he thinks of the actuator, its possible you may need a better one...

your EBC works off the boost pressure and not what the actuators doing.

but if your actuator is not allowing the wastegate flap to open or your wastegate flap is stiff or is having trouble moving then your going to have issues anyways.

take it get tuned and see what happens, its a bit hard to diagnose over the net...

well guys took it for a tune and got checked out and my whole front compressor got munched :( as in chipped the blades off which was very upseting and dont no wat happend,,thought it might have been oil not going through but there was.I guess teach me not to buy china crap lol oh well backto the drawing board for me as ive just put the stock one on for now as it was.

pretty dissapointed to be honest.

    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
