When I hold my foot on the break to come to a complete stop, hard or soft, the car after it hits a certain amount of revs it kinda pulls the car forward as I pull up at the lights.

If I just hold the break peddle down quite hard the revs drop a fair bit and than pops back up. You feel the car being pulled a bit more forward without doing anything different. Whats the go? Lol. I have to, after I press the break paddle, loosen my foot off the peddle so the car doesnt drop in the revs. Still pulls the car forward...

Also another thing that might have something to do with that ^^^ I was driving it the other night not fast just normal and I felt it lagging pretty bad like it didnt want to idle any higher than all of a sudden, I stopped at the traffic lights like normal and pulled off from them and the car struggled to even move. I pushed the peddle all the way in than all the way out. Nothing! It moved but not very fast or even above 20km/h. It was like dying on me I swear. I was so worried cause I dont know what it was.. Its happened once before yet ive only had the car what like two weeks. I turned the car off straight after it lagged like that for about 10 minutes and it was fine but I know it wasnt normal. Hate stressing bout it :(

It was in snow like the setting haha. Maybe that had something to do with it lagging... mmm lol. and Im wondering if theres some sort of non stock system put in my car where if i just sit there in drive the car randomly tries to go forward with me just holding the break and ive noticed if i pull the steering wheel to the left or right it does the same thing where it revs up and tries to move the car forward like it wants to go somewhere but im not doing it. Really weird.... Does anyone know what it could be? Thanks

Ok, resisting the urge to make fun of you being a woman right now, I'll try to help :P

I don't really understand your description of the first issue, so I'll leave that one alone. The second issue, the lagging, sounds like a misfire. Especially if it stopped after you turned the car off and on again. So did the car sound any different? Like a WRX sort of sound? I would be checking spark plugs. Potentially coilpacks as well but that's generally associated with high rpm misfires rather than low load.

As for your last post... It doesn't sound like there is any actual issue there. Automatic cars will move as soon as you take your foot off the brake, that's the stall point of the torque converter. And turning the steering wheel in a car with power steering puts load on the engine, so the revs need to go up with it.

Of course I may have completely misinterpreted your descriptions and I'm way off lol. If you could get a video of said problems then that may help thumbsup.gif

Yes I may be a girl but I do know a bit about cars just the things I post on here im just double checking that its all good

Yes I understand that whole thing with autos its just in my last car which no wasnt a skyline but it never did anything like that. Older yes and not a drift car haha. So I talked to a mate of mine and he said its not normal for the revs to go up like it did.. Just sitting there the car tried to pull itself forward when I did absolutely nothing.. It does it sometimes.. You see the idle moving a bit to.. And I did a service on it thinking it would do something.. The car just runs better but does the same stupid shit lol. The sprak plugs were chenged, oil and coolant and filters and the coil paacks are new so no problem there.. I thought the revs doing that was normal for a skyline because i thiought it does it to help you turn corners but the whole just sitting there on the spot the car tries to go forward on its own aint normal haha

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
