Theres a business called "procharge" based in sunbury vic

They seem to have very competitive prices, like $500 cheaper than other places here in brissy, but i dont like sending money interstate if im not 100% sure about it, so can anyone give feedback on this company?

any positive feedback or negative?

cheers :whistling:

Not sure where you've been looking but overall if you shop around you can do better.

Just looking at their site vs GCG - GCG are cheaper by $60 for 2560R (GTR) so you'd save $120+

Join NSW and get 10% off, makes it over $250 saved

Even check SAU Traders - well known businesses and they also often have deals for SAU members further bringing down the price.

Looking for best deal on a GTX3076, so far have MTQ $2560, Quickspool $2449, GCG are $1745 then would be another $800 for the housing so $2545

and procharge is $2065 which is a big saving, just wondering if anyone's had any issues with them.

Ive looked at the SAU traders and dont see it any cheaper.

If something is magically $500 cheaper on a $2000 item, there is always a catch/hidden cost I've found.

GCG price from what i can see is: $2312, incl actuator...

Procharge price makes no mention of actuator/bracket etc, add another $150+... $2215+

Now here is the nice part... Join SAU NSW, you get a 10% discount (on GCG) & the price is $2152 if you really wanna save $60 :)

(I'm assuming you are going internal gate, cbf pricing it up external)

As i said, for something to be over 20% cheaper on such low margin items like turbos - there often something missing.

JEBUS!

I got a quote, just recently for a brand spanking new GTX3076R WITH a .82 externally gated housing WITH IT ceramic coated for $2,030. Yes thats right! That was at MTQ down here in SA.

Speaking to my friend at Garage 7, he seems to think their even cheap than that now! As the wholesale price in Australia has come down a bit since Mid August.

I spoke to the guys at MTQ at World Time Attack, and they said flick us an email when you get home, and after some emails back and fourth about what turbo was going to suit my application, thats the price they gave me.

I have put it on hold for the moment though. Other things requiring funds cropped up.

still waiting for street to track guy to email back, hes got some unreal prices $1760 for a gtx3076 with housing , they seem genuine enough but still not sure bout sending money to people that i cant deal with directly

MTQ charge $1100 just for the housing, a genuine garrett .82r with a big flap on it , or some .7 housing of there own for a lot cheaper but then it wont be genuine anymore ...

    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
    • 310mm rotors will be avilable from Australia, Japan, and probably a few other places. Nothing for the front can be put on the back.
    • The filter only filters down to a specific size. Add to that, the filter is AFTER the pump. So it means everything starts breaking your pump even if its being filtered out.
