is that the same box that you get when you order foxtel digital, if it is message me ill take it off your hands pending i can get foxtel to hook it up. as i have the normal foxel now.

i spoke to my mate that works for foxtell and he told me you ant use other foxtell boxes casue foxtell never sold them indevidually unless it was satelite digital.

sorry man cant buy it off you. he just organised to get my digital installed tomorrow.

Perhaps the following will help in the sale of this decoder:

Satellite television from Optus/Austar/Foxtel has ALWAYS BEEN DIGITAL. That's why it's called Digital Video Broadcast. The 'Digital' tag is applied because people already nderstand the concept of digital set top boxes and having access to different angles at the footy etc....

With satellite tv, it is a total FARCE! The different angles are actually broadcast simultaneously as seperate channels so when you change angles you're really just changing the station you're watching.

Sorry for the sat tv lecture but this should stop the bs'ing that i keep hearing about 'digital' this and 'digital' that.

Adrian

At the end of the day, what can you do with it, and how do you use it if you don't have foxtel (ie what do you have to do to use it in your house, anything you have to tell foxtel, ie "I already have a box, can you hook me up?"

    • Hopefully you can just unbolt them, thank them for their service, then bin them and not replace them Apparently the sensors like to set them off with only minor impacts at low speed It looks like they do a delete kit for some of these, but, it is costly
    • I hope it's actually possible. This is a write off in insurance world.
    • Yup. 2-way with shallow ramp angles. Still works.
    • That was the first session so not a lot to take from the day. It was low 20s ambient and the coolant had got to 110 (and obviously had some pressure!) so that still needs to be addressed. I haven't downloaded the data yet but will. I had refilled the auto trans with Redline DT6 because it claimed the best viscosity I could find at 100o. It wasn't really long enough to get a good feel for that; while the trans got to 100o in the session it still wasn't shifting crisply as I hoped. I think I'll try a few more sessions before judging. No steering motor overheat but I'd hope not in only 1 session! But finally the suspension; it was night and day over the standard stuff and the car was a couple of seconds quicker on the same crappy tyres, which is a huge difference. I'll stick with that and get some sway bars and a mechanical diff sorted too and see how that all goes together
    • I guess it’s partially a compromise of how my car is used, wanting to be able to switch from drift to grip with track side on-car adjustment. Also partially with the way the knuckles are set there is more static camber but less dynamic camber gain.
