 Yep, Cairns to Canberra in three days (3000 Klms) and only two speeding tickets. must not be trying hard enough. One was an almost fair cop, you know the usual, hiding in the undergrowth at the bottom of a long downhill run on a dual lane divided motorway. Both in the wonderful state of depression, sorry, NSW. Just on a side note, aren't the police cars pretty when they turn on all the lights. Ah well just a bit more for the Bob Carr re-election fund I suppose.

Cheers

im sure there is more than 1 in oz.. coz i got one too... and im definaely sure that there are more hiding out there

Thanks ed R34,

That was a tongue in cheek thing. It's good to know that there are some more R34's out there although on the trip between Cairns and Canberra, I only saw one R33 just south of Mackay and one R32 just near Maitland. Must all hang around the cities.

It was a great trip only spoiled by the boys in blue. I have often heard it said on this forum, that once you have driven a skyline most other cars in the same price category are found wanting. I would now have to agree. Turbo cars sure put the fun back into driving. After a lengthy recent diet of NA 4 cyls, the Skyline is a bloody great drive.

    • Hopefully it ends up being something manageable, like a hone, rather than a full bore—it would be a huge relief if it’s not as bad as it looks. Hang in there; these setbacks are annoying, but it sounds like you’re handling it as smartly as possible.

    • Thanks MBS206, i got that PDF but got abit overhelm with all the connections and tracing of wires. I wasn't expecting to plug the dash harness anywhere. i was just going to use my electronics jumper wires to plug into the right pins like ECU power, ecu ground, ignition trigger etc... I do have a few ratchet straps locking it down tight. Fire extinguisher ready and only a small amount of fuel at a time, enough to submerge the pump.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, i will do abit more digging. I am missing a blue relay near the ECU connector... so i will chase that up in the next few days as well
