Hi all.

I've had some queries from the local Adelaide guys about the AM Performance exhausts, and in particular the possibility of a group buy.

I've spoken to Andrew and if we get 5 or more people it works out to a pretty good saving.

Andrew used my car to develop the exhaust, and we've seen a 30kW gain on the dyno, and it flows an additional 3PSI boost.

Prices are:

Dump pipe (catless) - $420 (usually $480)

Mid pipe with 200 cpsi ceramic cat - $400 (usually $450)

Mid pipe without cat - $230 (usually $250)

Cat back exhaust with muffler in the middle and single cannon style exhaust - $740 (usually $800)

Cat back exhaust with twin mufflers - $870 (usually $930)

Titanium tips on your cat back exhaust - add $150

Installation in SA - $280

Everything is made in stainless steel (except the titanium, obviously).

Pricing doesn't include postage, I will get an idea of the right way to go if I get interest from interstaters.

Note all of this has been designed to connect to the stock mount points, i.e. you could order a dump pipe and mid pipe, then still retain a Kakimoto, Blitz or whatever Japanese exhaust takes your fancy. Or if you just need to rid yourself of that box of baffles, you could order just the mid pipe.

I don't have any great photos of the cat back at the moment, but will if people want.

If I get 5 or more people interested, I'll go ahead.

Thanks!

Ryan

Ah so you're the one he's making the dump and mid pipe for.

The catback system is fine. Mine has two mufflers now, because it was too loud and drony for my liking originally. Now its awesome, sounds awesome, and isn't too loud. I'd say just right.

I haven't tried the Kakimoto/Blitz stuff though. Been in a car with the Nismo sports muffler, and open I didn't think it was that much quieter than mine.

I'll measure the db at idle and let you know.

Haven't had a chance to measure the db at idle, sorry. Not sure how reliable those mobile apps are anyway...

For those interested, postage is $75 Australia wide.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
