HAHAHA.... you guys crack me up :)

Now c'mon Steve everyone knows it's MUCH more efficent having cams that only rotate 280 out of a possible 360 degrees! The 80 degrees that's saved can be put into heating the rear tyres :D

Matt I've been holding out on you, I had a small amount of my "special fuel" left, I've been using it to get a quick buzz now and again... I've only got 1 sleep till Christmas :D

Dean, how well do you know the owner?

People that stretch the truth to that extent baffle me!? Why say/print things that are obviously false? The car looks and sounds (I've seen and heard it go past my house) to be a bloody weapon, why tarnish it with B/S?

Oh yeah... one last thing, where can I get a Tomei pushrod cam? I don't want the "Tomei overhead" RB cam's I want the pushrod ones :)

dammit wish i was there....

Dude i dont know you and i can guarantee you dont know me! Have not crashed my car! I had a guy clip my front bumper on the passenger side at North East Rd/Sudoltz Rd intersection as he turned Left. A white R33 GTR on trader plates when i chased the little shit he went up between the two lanes of traffic.

But got his Trader Plate written down and will track the guy down. The car only needed a plastic weld on the front bumper & ive done that so it hasn't really been damaged.

As for a 9-second time. I was trying to get attention for my add. Well it worked.

I will run it in the next couple or weeks and we'll c what it can do! then i'll put the time sheet up for you all to see.

I think what cheeky means is that when john talked to him, johns opinion was that the guy would crash the car.

If this is the case, i know the car and driver... and i agree with johns comments.

1).- Dean you hav'nt even seen my car yet! Or under the bonnet! Maybe you have seen me on the road but thats all. I hav'nt seen you in at the least 3 years. In the nicest possible way you don'nt know me mate.

2).- I Really don't think you are in any position to make a comment about my driving ability.

Ciao for now

ross, we both know ur car is crazy, just not a 9 sec car. anyway its fine to advertise whatever, as u r rite, it does get peoples attention.

also in regards to the crash thingy, i asked if it was u, cos u r the only person that i know of who has a r34 gtr in silver.

thirdly u r rite, i really shouldnt say anythin about ur driving ability, so sorry about that. But why would u say u think u will crash it? Cos its so powerful?? I just remember the good ol days, u used to cain the shit out of that nimbus or whatever it was.... Anyway hope that cleared things up. Ill see u around, prolly on cruises or something.

Cya mate

Hmmm... I don't know Ross (COPY ME) I can certainly see your point of getting exposure from catchy advertising, kind of like putting - "SEX!!! - now that I've got your attention" and your dead right, it did indeed work, BUT......

IMHO putting " this car has run 9.89sec at AIR" etc... could easily backfire, as potential buyers may be a little suspect of the rest of the cars info... i.e engine internals, type of cams, turbos and so on... I'd say it's probably best to let the car sell based on factual information. Either way mate, it certainly is a damn fine looking R34 GT-R! If I was you I wouldn't even sell it! Let us know how you go at AIR? The next meet is on the 2nd of May.

Dude, if you blatantly lie about something, what makes you think people are going to believe anything else that you have to say? I agree with whatsisname, it could be a Datsun 1600 with a flare kit that you are trying to sell...

If someone is going to spend over 130k on a car, that is advertised as having run 9 seconds - well, I would run a mile in the other direction if I found out the seller was pulling my chain. Credibility, in a world full of bullsh1t, is very important - and used car sales, be it private or business isnt exactly renouned for being 100% above board.

False advertising is illegal in the retail sector for a reason. I wonder if someone did buy it, then found out it wasnt a 9 second car, would they have legal recourse? After all, you did put it in writing.

From the looks, the car is nice enough to sell itself without any unfactual embelishment.

Going overseas for atleast 3-months thats why its up for sale, going to take a huge loss on it. Which sucks but i couldn't get insurance on it in storage and there is no one that you can trust a car that is doing 400++ at the wheels. But i want a R34 GTR V-SPEC II Nur when i get back to nut out again. Half the fun is building the car up. Your point is true though man. but we'll see what it can do soon enough @ 1.5bar, Just praying something doen't smash or sheer in the drive train.

Ciao for now.....

    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
