Anyone Here Speak Japanese? Got A Second?

Recommended Posts

I don't usually post here but post a lot on the UK Skyline forums...

I'm importing a camper from Japan and have the auction sheet...

I've worked out most of the grading, spec, scratches, etc... but wondered if someone would be able to translate the handwritten text in the 2 areas circled in red?

(Actual PDF attached with better quality scan).

I just wanted to know what they say so I can make sure any problems are sorted before I buy it.

Many thanks,

Chris ~:)

White Silver Bongo Import Sheet.pdf

The upper right box starts with the following:

セールスポイント Sales points

オートフリートップ Auto free top (the type of camper it is)

ETC electronic tag used for tollways

The kanji are really hard to make out - the handwriting is almost as bad as mine. I will have a look but I doubt I will be able to get much more, sorry.

Hiya.

Thanks for that...

I don't have a clearer copy and couldn't comment on the handwriting... looks very pretty to me but certainly not good enough for OCR > Google translate.

I know cos I tried... got most of the printed headings this way though. :)

Never heard of ETC so thanks for that - will never use it of course but good to know its not a fault with the van. :)

Cheers again,

Chris ~:)

No worries, I think there is something about navigation in there too.

Good luck with it.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
