Just rerunning my loom at the moment and need to extend it and a question on this particular wire. The big brown wire in the pic has a black and white wire inside it and also bare wire. My question is if I dont have a wire like that to extend it with do I just run 3 separate wires 1 to the black 1 to the white and 1 to the bare?

yes, that's right, 3 seperate wires.

But, generally wires with an external unsheathed wire are sheilded (eg CAS wires), so make sure each new wire is kept well apart, and well insulated, eg lots of heatshrink around each.

those 2 wires inside the shield are most probably comms related. If you don't shield them properly you could get noise in. And noise affects the data that its sending. If you strip them back further you will find they are twisted. You can buy twisted pair shielded cable from any electrical shops.
