Perspex Number Plates

Hi

I was someone would be able tell me if it's possible to buy pre-cut, blank/clear Perspex number plates?

I know I can get Perspex sheets from bunnings but I want the curved corners and some quality craftsmanship. lol

local sign shop cant cut their scrap bits to size and shape for you... cheap too, cause they usually just throw small bits away...

the guys who do lightbox signs and displays would be the best ones to goto...

I'm not going to remake my plates.. I just want to make 'show' plates, personalized plates.. that sorta thing.

I believe the issue is that the perspex would reflect speed camera flash and so the camera couldn't photo the plate. If they notice this they can get for it. I would double check but I'm pretty sure thats why.

Refraction doesn't occur on speed cameras. (ive been booked!)

There'd a be a few shops around town more than capable.

Although I wouldn't put them on till you enter a showground etc.

It's cheaper and eaiser to make them yourself.

I was pulled up by the local Po-po telling me my custom perspex plates were illegal. They even tried removing them.

After explaning they were legal - ACT Rego provided them, and I was convincing, they let me go.

PS. you can use mine as a template. I have the slimline front and standard rear.
