Just be careful, they are illegal and will void your insurance. Not much need for one with a water cooled turbo either.

The wiring for them is usually very simple so most kits will work if you can find the ignition wires.

i have a turbo timer on mine and its a waste of time.its not like you thrash your car into a car park or into your drive way and then turn it straight off.i haven't seen any new cars come out with them, so i would think its pretty safe not to have one these days.

As Scotty says; not really much need with a water cooled turbo.

Also, if you have an alarm; you generally lose one or two of your isolation circuits once you fit a turbo timer, because you need the fuel pump & ignition circuits live to run the engine.

If it's just for track days; let the car idle in the pits for a minute or two; with the bonnet up, or just do a couple of (or at least one) proper cool down laps at the end.

Damaging your brakes with retained heat would be more of an issue than the turbo in a track day scenario IMO.whistling.gif

When I do a bike track day; I normally chill for the last half lap and ride down behind the pit complex to cool everything down. Some tracks allow the use of their internal road network for cool down once a track session is over.thumbsup.gif

So many pointless comments relating to personal opinion, local law & utter BS (just answer the question ffs).... as for them being water cooled, so what... oil pressure hello?

What ever your reasons are for wanting a TT, are yours and therefore valid! As for the issue at hand, lilcrash had it, with use the HKS r33 harness (part number npt-1), but you will have to trim abit of the plastic on the clip (as stated), otherwise perfect!

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
