So im sort of new to this hoobyist detailing. I have always clay, polished and waxed my car by hand. But seeing the results being done by people with the DA polishers the results speak for themselves.

So the two kits im looking at by one fo the forum sponsors waxit with the conours 900 kis are the

Concours 900 Polisher - H20 Euro Pad System & Menzerna Kit with 5.25" pads for $284.95

or

Concours 900 Polisher - LC CCS 6.5" Pads & Menzerna Kit for $295.95

or

Concours 900 Polisher - Kompressor 7" Pads & Menzerna Kit for $299.95

I have no idea on which one to buy if I were to buy one. any help from the guys with knowledge would be great.

I went with the concours 900 and mezerna kit from waxit, i spoke to them and they put together pads to suit my car, apparantly jap paint is softer than euro and usa paint so u can ise less abrasive pads.

He was really helpful, no replies via email contact but easy to get a hold of by phone

Done 2 cars with that kit now..left for a.week or 2, washed and then I waxed them with just some old california gold carnuba I had left over,.. left for 6 months without washing..

Washed them on the weekend, nothing special just a high pressure hose, proper chammy and armorall wash and wax and wow, they still look wet like they were done yesterday

Im not sure which pads (orange, grey, white, yellow) they were.they're rather abrasive as I got the kit too fix some heavy scratching from my dog jumping on the car.. I found its less abrasive though if you just keep a spray bottle of water lightly misting over it as you go..stops it drying out and so uses less product as well..

This is the one fo rour cars..

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
