Yea been reading for awhile, just had little input, my F&F memory was failing me haha..

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/393468-volk-racing-te37sl-wheels-with-or-without-stickers/page__st__20

Check my post in there regarding wheel stickers.. getting pretty keen for gold ones! let me know what you guys think?

We will fix the F&F problem!! Lol

Checking link now

ah thats good then.

yeah cause rewireable fuses are illegal now, if you touch a circuit that has it you have to redo everything.

i mean i could probably do it but i wouldnt be happy about it lololol. plus it may hurt your pocket a little. idk, maybe 500-1000 with everything done by me, including your garage. but thats a fair guess

hmm... dunno ant,

i kinda see it as, are you doing black on yellow or yellow on black, adding yellow when your trying to put more black in could look a bit odd?

could be a bit over the top you know?

though if i saw it id probably like it so idk. see what others think i guess.

I hope there are no OH&S peeps in here :P we may fail to meet safety requirements

No OH&S at home

True story time

When dad and I were building a clubman we had it sitting on a table in the garage which was on wheels donated by woolworths or Coles and we could wheel it around the garage.

As the car was only sitting on wooden blocks on the table there was only 4 inches clearance between car and table but this night we needed to do something under the car so we wheel the table over to where the chain block is.

Now the chain block is attached to an RSJ that is in the roof of the garage and we used a seat belt between the hook and the car and winch up the rear of the car.

I grab a jack stand but dad says no need it's only a two minute job, he climbs under the car does the job and crawls out.

The very second he is clear of the car the seat belt breaks and the car comes crashing down onto the table.

We ALWAYS used jack stands after that so maybe OH&S should be applied with vigilance in a home garage

Yeah it's pretty old school here :P but that gives me something to work towards.... Cheers man!

Ant, not convinced on the red.... If the yellow/gold matched your car then it'd be good....

I won't go under a car without stands etc... Even doing my diff bushes before Texi, 10min job but put stands under, found the jack creeps so I was happy I thought about safety for a change!

I guess im looking at it as the wheels were meant to have these stickers onit, red really wont go with my car imo.. and the only other colour that rays makes the stickers in close to my car colour is gold.. they wont match the yellow exactly, they will be a little more subtly than bright yellow, and could break up the wheel nicely?.. they will match the brembo calipers in gold though too!

dunno what to do really ha..

a seat belt? lololololol

whats the SWL?? bahaha

At least 300kg

When I worked at a wreckers I would cut the seat belts out of the car and use them for slings to pull the motor and box out of the car

Never ever had one break before that night in the garage

i think go with the yellow Anthony, (not the fluro ones on the new SL's) they will look the part.

I'm buying a set of knock off TE37's soon and putting the red ones on (buying a set of real SL's after my move - too many bad stories about rims disappearing during transport for my likeing to do it now)

yea ive got the red already which it came with.... i think i may have to buy the gold ones and just see.. i played around with the photo shop some more and even if i dull the gold right down, it still looks good imo..

i kind of had the same trouble when picking number plate colours, i went for black and gold, the gold doesnt match but ties in really well imo, so it may work the same way, as the yellow wont be spot on the same, and im not sure if it would look too bright if it did anyways?...

yea not keen on the fluro, just sounds abit gay really haha

Yah, Fluro is Gaids!!!

But you've made all the right choices so far with the car so I'm looking forward to seeing what you choose ;)

    • Hey guys! Y'all are the masters so figured I'd check in on a few items here. - My engine sounds ever-so-slightly more raspy than the other NA RB25s I've listened to. It's barely noticeable but definitely a slightly different sound. - When I back off the throttle at high RPM, I will sometimes get a pop out of the exhaust, assuming this can be diagnosed as misfire. Some history on the car: - Had an exhaust leak in auction sheet but was claimed to be fixed by seller (bought from USA importer).  - Car's coil packs and sparks were replaced when it was sold to me, but unsure on what the gap is and whether the coil packs are correct.  - A prior mechanic had misdiagnosed a pilot or throwout bearing sound as LSPI/detonation. Had played with timing a bit, pops/raspy sound of engine just got worse. Got timing reset. - Had failed emissions a few times. First time went in as is, failed. Second time, replaced cat, still failed, running rich as hell. Third time replaced o2 sensor, passed. Car still smells gassy though. - Timing belt and valve cover gasket also replaced.  - Gas mileage is... low. about 350-400K per tank.  Any idea if I'm having any serious issues here or does this all sound like normal old NA RB stuff and I'm fine to drive it with the pops/slightly raspy engine? If it'll help, I can get drop a video of the sound of the engine.
    • So....to find any R chassis part number, get your VIN (will be something like ER33-xxxxxx for you) and go to: https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan and enter it. From there you have access to a web version of Nissan's part system, FAST. It is a bit tricky to get used to, so maybe have a shot and post up what you think.  You can also search by general model but note in some cases your car might have different options so VIN is safest.  On diagram 211 I got 14075-75T16 for Connector, Water Hose If I search for part 14053‑21U10 that you posted, that is also a water hose but not the one bolted to the plenum and 14075‑04U00 is the fitting where the water hose goes into the block.
    • Yeah now we are talking I much prefer coolers in the front middle because it lessens the chance of a small bump to a corner stopping the whole event. I was thinking the AT cooler can move out of the radiator, delete the AT/engine coolant interwarmer and mount a separate cooler with a thermoswitch somewhere further back as is common in racing, that would be one thing. Beyond that, the engine oil cooler is an obvious one to move to the wheel arch, potentially one on each side, but unused space is an issue. I did have a earlier pic with the bumper off but it doesn't show how busy the corners are: DS is full of the auto driving sensors and PS is totally fully of windscreen washer fluid reservoir But ultimately I was hoping to keep the AC, and the water/air heat exchanger is fundamental so it is not just the radiator that needs to be in front BTW here's airflow to the rad as it ran at the track (one horn is gone now and I'll remove the lights next time):
    • your right the maps for Australia came out in 2017 but are 2010 maps. i got the updated maps SD card put it in and it was the same. Same maps in my Brothers Nissan Patrol. 2020 i think his car is
