FYI -

R34 GTR wuith aftermarket immoboliser in most cases still runs NATS which means you need to get the transponder programmed before the key will start the car.

R34 GT-T with aftermarket immoboliser does not need programming and you can get a key cut and it will just turn and start.

Thanks for the info, and welcome to Far North Newcastle :D

Thanks heaps for that, going to get a key today then ill have it coded when i get the car back :D

well, some think planks of wood if no one has any propper ramps like the ones u use to get cars on the back of a trailer, use them to take out a heap of the angle off the ferry ramp

Martin was all over the planks of wood idea, the ramps are good but unless we get a stagea or a ute to come then they would be too long for all of our cars i reckon!

Not if they are short enough to sit in the boot.

Four short planks would be better than two longs ones and save a bit of time as well

I can still bring timbers and lots of them as well

But I like the idea of making a decision on the day

Well OK, lets go back to Plan A.... Ill set up the cruise including the Ferry based on your wood etc and THEN if we get any epically low cars on the cruise we will make the call on the day! Once again we can always split and meet back on Old Pac but would rather try keep the group together!

Happy to help.

I got one of my keys programmed by a mobile locksmith called Ultimate Lock in Sydney. It was around $100.

Cheaper than Hornsby Nissan. I received the same quote of ~ $180.

And not done by an apprentice ;)

    • All my Polish car culture insight comes from watching Nightride. So I half expect this to get 1UZ swapped eventually?! Are you going to drive it in winter? I'm always curious how ATTESA would hold up in the snow. There isn't that much opportunity to try it in Australia.
    • My steering lock unit on my Infiniti G37 has failed. The car is a local 2012 Infiniti G37 (Q60 ) I need to replace the unit My local mechanic said i need to buy a complete steering wheel assembly. Does anybody no any mechanics in Gold Coast or Brisbane who can fix this issue or where i can buy just the Steering lock control unit. Thanks
    • thanks, will conduct myself accordingly. i unfortunately put about 150 miles on the car before reading this thread again, however no PS issues, and definitely no turbo issues. it spools normally and still feels fast to me, probably because my previous car was an N/A auto sedan...gonna go fix the PS vacuum line though lol. safe to say, got what i came to this thread for. thanks
    • Agreed, I've never seen a 260RS specific manual. As GTSBoy said it will mostly be stagea other than the engine loom https://www.hgeconsulting.com.au/stageaservicemanual.pdf
    • You'lll likely have to make do with R33 GTR for engine/tranny stuff, and Stagea for the body. I don't know that there's even been an actual diagram seen in the wild.
