hey mate the hks 2530 is pretty much a re branded garrett 2860 and garrett are a bit cheaper and alot easier to come by the only diffrence is the hks spools a little bit quicker but not much youll bearly notice..

unless your looking at getting the 2530 external gated then ignore all above haha

Ahk thats good to know, yer im looking at getting the hks 2530 with external gate, just trying to keep everything the same? Whats the difference between external and internal gate, as far as installing wise and stuff? I take it the garet 2860 is internal gate?

Yer the garrett is internal, is this for a gtr? so twins? or just single?,,,the 2860 -7,-5,-10 turbos and yes there in that order smallest to largest there a turbo made by garrett for the gtrs they have the t25 flanges so there a direct bolt on to the stock manifold..as for the diff between internal and external waste gates im still fairly noobish but as far as i know an internal gated turbo has an inbuilt waste gate and actuator on the turbo, a external gated turbo the waste gate is fitted to the manifold as apose to being on the turbo it self, as for the fitting for an external gate if its for a single set up youll need a custom manifold with a tial vband for the waste gate the be placed your better off talking to 6boost about this stuff because its there bread and butter and i have yet see a better made manifold youll find them in the buisness section

Whats the difference compared to hks2530

hardly any. responsive 250rw

Actually the difference is in the detail, it's defnately not as direct fit as a hks2530 in the fact it has a 3" inlet compared to the hks Oem/direct fit intake, also the 2871R is marginally less responsive but produces higher output...

Comes down to the following, wheels sizes/trim & housing a/r...

Hks2350 .60/.64 smaller wheels

Gt2871r .60./.86 larger wheels

GT2871r rated to 390hp(48 trim) or 440hp(56 trim) is closer to the GT-RS from the hks family...

A garrett gt28rs (rated to 350hp) is as close as youll get to a gt2530/gt2535 from hks that your looking for...And at around $1400 or so new is really hard to argue with asits brand new with warranty. Just make sure you specify to the supplier you a after the skyline oem t3 6 bolt rear housing...

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
