Sutton rd which is Fairburn track is a bitch cos you have to be a member.

I rode the brindies for about 15 years without any legal trouble.

Larbert rd near braidwood is good if you like sand. $10 or $15 to ride last time i was there.

Captains flat has a track, theres one near Yass, and Kowen forest is pretty big(rego only, cops)

But the best is the Brindabellas.

Uriarra rd has few good spots to park, like Blue range hut or Blundells flat(my fav)

Or on the Cotter rd theres Peirces creek or Murrays corner

The forest goes from the cotter to tumut, its big and has lots of awesome mountains.

Get a map and the only limit is your fuel range.

Have fun, stay safe. Dont ride alone in the bush.

Ps i sold my bike if you want my maps n stuff give us a pm

The shitbox bike can be the best fun you ever had.

I had as much or more fun in 2 years of shitboxing as i did in 12 years of supreme KTM.

Get one for sure!

Gloves and kneepads too, ha ha i remember the first time...but its so much fun you cant stop.

I still have nice armour and gloves, a work stand, those cool stick-on goggles with heaps of lenses, boots, tie downs, etc....

If you need it i dont use them anymore, good stuff ill sell real cheap.

Ps new age 4strokes are VERY expensive to maintain. get a two banger or a normal 4stroke.

Was about to say the same thing re- 4 strokes,

The WR's are pretty good but anything more than a couple of years old = rebuild time

But in saying that most of the 4 stricken enduro's are pretty good

The mx'ers are rubbish, the current crf250 has a 10hr rebuild time on the top end and 25hr for piston and rings

My brother has a 2010 yz250 2 stoke, he rides the shit out of it and has replaced the spark plug and a brake lever or 2

My dad scored one of the super rare 09 yz250wr road legal mx'er and has had no problems either

But if you do want cheap my brother is selling an 88 klr250 for 200 bucks, but needs some work

The only reason why I'm not interested in a new 2-stroke is that they're not registrable (someone confirm this).

I wouldn't ride an ancient POS hahaha. Had a '93 or thereabouts KDX250 few years back that I would ride around the back of Conder/Banks, that was about the limit of 'shitness' I would deal with.

Wouldn't mind my cousin's KTM 525EXC I rode some years ago, that thing was f**king insane!

Plenty of new 2 strokes than can be registered

Just no Japanese bikes, so you will need to look to the land of euro

KTM, TM, Husaberg, GASGAS etc all do 2 stroke enduros, and if you want spastic power most of them do a 300 2stroke too lol

Yeah euro 2 strokes are really good.

I had a KTM 360 for ages, that thing could pull your arms off up to 120kph,

more grunt than i could use with my light weight (70kg) and rear tyres were used up in about 400ks

The big two strokes sound awesome with a pipe. Top handling and ergonomics too.

Yeah I love oilers!

Found a place to go, binacrombie which is an hour north of g-town, will take the gf's parents kombi which has a tow bar and make a weekend of it including trout fishing etc

Their single track looks the goods but simple enough that the DR will handle it but will chuck the knobbies on before I go

    • @Murray_Calavera iam just considering options 🙂 of course it is very expensive so that why i ask here 🙂  @joshuaho96 I looked at that GCG hybrid(i remember looking at it few weeks before) So this is "that" hybrid where i send them my turbo and they upgrade the inside to Garrett stuff and then they send it back. It cost around 1200-1300 USD which is FAR cheaper than the HKS and it is what iam looking for(i just do not have experience like this...to send something off to "upgrade" ) @tylink720 that is like 150 USD turbo no? 😄 I dont think i have the "ease on my mind" with this kind of turbo. I just put over 7000k USD to "LINK" up my engine...dont want to blow it up with cheap turbo 😄     EDIT: https://www.cj-motor.com/gcg-turbo-charger-for-nissan-rb20det-rb25det-high?srsltid=AfmBOooVeOZ6CZ6r1AIv5m-KPaa6BvudIPJTY8LW78khkd-gQlsaCht9 I looked at this and it seems ok? It is that CGC hybrid and it costs around 1250 USD (with back shipping). Do any of you have experience with this hybrid on NEO turbo? I quickly look thru the forum/web and it seems very good.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
