Hey guys,

Need some help. my mechanic says i need a new radiator and front shocks to pass rego.

Really dont want to buy a used r33 radiator that is pushing 16+ yrs old so can anyone tell me if this ASI radiator is a direct fit to r33 Gts-t? will i need the fan shroud to go with it or able to keep stock r33 fan??

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/42mm-Alloy-aluminum-radiator-skyline-R33-RB25DET-GTS-T-/290717449488?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43b01c3d10

Also front shocks are leaking and worn. Cant afford to upgrade to coilovers so going to stick with just buying some shocks. Will r34 standard shocks fit an r33?

Having trouble sourcing shocks, if anyone has any for sale PM me please!!

Cheers,

Ryan

33 and 34 shocks should be the same from what i have read on coilover fitment, its the rears that differ i think...

You can see in the pic that the radiator has the locations for the existing shroud, should be fine!

Thanks mate, so just to verify. I can buy the radiator and keep the existing stock shroud i already have?

Yes, that is what they are designed for.... BUT please do not fit this yourself if you are not mechanically minded, leave it for the workshop to do. Fitting the Radiator is a very easy job but bleeding the cooling system needs to be done spot on to avoid destroying your engine by overheating etc.... There is some DIY threads on 33 cooling systems on SAU, if you can find it with the search function google it with the SAU title and you shall find :) Good Luck with rego!

Have you had any experience or heard of these???

Mechanic will be fine with it, remember to allow cash for fitting time and also coolant change as its the best time to do it!

In terms of shocks on skylines i have had no experience, car has always had coilovers fitted. They have a good warranty period, check feedback from other buyers maybe?

    • Plan on the day will be to park trackside. Depending on space availability we will try put a small shade tent and a few of the cars on top of the hill inside turn 3, this is an easy to get to parking area with views of Turn 2, Turn 3, Turn 4 and Turn 5 and limited other pieces of the view around the track. IMPORTANT NOTE! One consideration from previous years is from memory the trackside parking sells out before the admission tickets, for that reason I encourage anyone planning on coming to buy tickets for parking now via the official website; https://www.worldtimeattack.com/ The type of parking you are looking for is 2 Day Park & View (Access Around Venue) Vehicle Pass Only Please note this does not include admission to the event itself, remember to grab that also, and kids under 12 get in for free!
