jdmst forum, where they do nothing but hellaflush, meet in carparks and play with remote control cars.

Good job, save up for a real car not some homo honda with stupid offset wheels and camber that does nothing but ruin the car

Well, I currently drive a civic but have done NOTHING to it, stock as a rock - seriously what's the point? JDM is so....pointless.

Anyway. anyone know why 2000 or 2001 black GTTs (manual) are so hard to find? and, say, can anyone give me a rough estimate of how much a total stage 1 tune as specified here, will cost assuming I have a stock car? help appreciated and thanks in advance!

including ecu, quite a bit - examples;

exhaust may be $600-1k

intake - fark that, leave it as stock box but change filter to something decent. $100

boost - go with an electronic boost controller, can probably get one for $300 or so

ECU - anywhere from 1-2k for ECU, then tuning time.

all in all, not cheap.

I've got a 33 gtst with exhaust, new panel filter and boost controller on 10psi and i'm running 190rwkw at full song, albeit with massive rich and retard in the middle (goes nuts once it's past that though). installing SAFC to smooth that out.

By no means is it the quickest car out there, but for the road, it's more than enough - you wanna stay on the good side of the law.

I like you already, just like my V6 accord, smashes little rice boys in their worked Civics, Integras ra ra ra.. I just leave it stock, it's great the way it is.. I have my fridge, I mean R33 for the mods

Fark that.

Chop springs.

Speed holes diffuser rear bumper.

Sticker bombed panels.

Stanced.

Then hardpark that farker.

@cpd thanks for that, easily another 2k on top of the car + any other things which need fixing up at the time of purchase. damn. better hope I find a cheap one/one that doesn't need too much fixing!

@MBS206 funnily enough, after deciding I wanted a 34, tried to find my copy of GT5 just to have some fun and......cant find it. can't even practice. sad.

@b00bs hahahaha. can't wait to get my boat. will be bigger than your fridge!

@ tai1or made - yeah....don't really understand much of what you said.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
    • Also wanted to say, my new spark plugs are blackened looks like it's very rich. I have splitfire coilpacks but stock coilpack loom and ignitor. I tried directly grounding the ignitor ground to body as well.
