Quick Stereo Question

Hey guys,

The cd player in our v35 is cactus and we have come across a replacement for it.

What i would like to know is

Is it possible to replace the standar- pack factory head unit with the bose head unit?

Are they the same plugs and will it still work properly?

Standard stereo has a amp built-in and the bose system has external amps so dont think it will work if you just simply swap the head units.

Technically, yes you can as both HUs are almost identical internally, but it is not a straight swap.. You need to swap the active (fan) heatsink on the output stage and change some surface mounted resistors inside the unit. you also need to ensure you are using the HU from the same series V35 as some connectors changed between series.
