I have a "HKS SUPER BLOW OFF VALVE". An old model, not the SSQV. It gives a standard PSCHHT.

- It is mounted between the turbo and the intercooler (not throttle body and intercooler).

- Running only 8-9psi

What is wrong at the moment is that it only vents half the air into the atmosphere, ie. half the air goes back through the system and makes the chuchuchu noise.

The noise it is making atm is Chu-Chu-PSCHHT

What can be the cause of this problem? Vacuum hose too thin? The BOV is either opening too slowly, or opening too late?

Any ideas?

PS> My BOV has two 'outlets' or nipples, I am not sure why it has two, but only one is connected to the vacuum source, the other is left unplugged. Having both T-pieced together renders the BOV useless (I tried before).

if it causes alot of flutter the spring tension is probably too tight (if that model does have adjustable tenstion) loosen off the tension bolt and see how you go. if it doesnt get another BOV

infact... just buy my BOV which is for sale! it is adjustable!

But i know when mine is wound up too tight it flutters, but if i loosen its ok
