So i just ordered a set of Rota Grids for my r33.

I got staggered 18x 8.5" & 9.5" Rear. Im looking to fit up 235 tyres to the rear for a bit of stretch, as dont want too much.

But what would people recommend for the front? Would 235 on the front also look ok?

Please let me know your opinions as i need to get tyres in the next day or 2. Thanks

As Callan said, 235 and 265 is ideal.... That's what i normally run (at the moment i run 235 & 275 as some cheap 275's were available to me)

I have run 235's all round when i wanted to burn an old set of 235s i had spare and it looks pretty soft! I am not a fan of stretch at all..... While it wasn't THAT bad, i still didn't like it and traction was garbage!

The 235 does not look that impressive TBH

Depends how low you are going with the car too, i lowered mine and with the 275's had to roll the guards, used heat and was careful and the paint still split :verymad: Ah well!

235,245,255,265,275 should all fit..... You could stretch 225 but if you want any traction i wouldn't bother.... On that note, Kurtis34 has some cheapies for sale and he is on the Central Coast so you may be able to buy and try and if you don't like it skid them to death and try another size

Have u had any quotes on these man?

Not on the KU36, i was going to go Federal RS-R as they are around $240-250 per corner for most sizes.....

For your comparison of the KU31 your limits are endless, depends how much grip you want and how much you wanna spend, between option 1 garage, St george tyres and some other players out there its cheap tyre time!!!

Yeah your not wrong, its a buyers market atm.

Alot of companys are parralell importing around the country and have some really good deals out there

The ku36 is an awesome tyre, but they dont get much kms out of a set thats for sure because of how soft they are. lol

    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
    • Sounds good, we will aim to be there! @The Bogan I'll give you a shout if you are heading up to campbelltown for the meet too.
    • Before I get to the test day, just to finish off the android head unit. This is a demo from car start up....the standard/host system takes a few seconds to boot (same as all v37) but Android comes up quickly. In this vid I'm using the delivered launcher but have set the default to Agami since which is easier to navigate when if use primarily 5 apps. You can see the host system still takes over when required eg putting it in reverse, and you can switch between Android and not by holding the back button 3 sec. It is pretty responsive (fast) but you can see I had to press harder than expected a couple of times.  I still have the phone connected to the stock system, and that also seamlessly takes over Android music playing. v37-android-demo.mp4 The bigger reason that I put this in though is so that I can use Ecutek directly on the head unit. That gives me a dash with logging (up to 20MB only), high and low value warnings on any parameter etc etc. I've run a USB cable from the Ecutek OBD dongle to a USB input on the unit, easy. v37-ecutek-demo.mp4   The unit did freeze on the launcher the other day, I think Agami was trying to verify the license when it didn't have a data connection...will monitor and report back if there are any other problems but so far I'm very happy with the upgrade.
    • Nah that is just crappy GPS mapping, I did have a small excursion (cold tyres, damp track, surprise!), will post up that when I get a chance.
