Hi All,

While cleaning out the boot in the GTR a few days ago, in the area where the jack is, I found a bag with Japanese documents in it including the original owners manual.

Was hoping someone on here that owns an R34 GTR and has the full set of books, leather case etc could please post a picture of what they look like so I know whats there and whats missing.

Have already been to Nissan direct and unfortunately it appears they dont have a record of, or sell the books.

Thanks.

From the research of info I've been able to find online, the Navigation book comes with BNR34s that have a C code for digit 17 of the model number (there might be other codes too). Most seem to have - on their model code. I've been a fair bit of looking at model codes from the Nissan Fast request thread and randomly entering VINs into Nissan Fast and it seems fairly rare to have the SatNav. I've been able to find out what AAJCD means from a Japanese friend who translated them for me, but not any of the codes (although some are in English for later VINs if I remember correctly). If you enter check your model code (I can do that if you want - just give me the VIN) and see if there is a C for 17 should tell you if that book came with your car. Never seen anything about a leather cover.

My friend says:

14A Super fine coat

15A Rear wiper + UV protection + prevention of heat entering

16J Glove compartment light, remote entry, trunk lid

17C TV function, navigator

18D Rear fog light

Mark

Wondered if there was a leather folder for everything, remember seeing them once but not sure?

I didn't get the leather satchel either Chris, but the Nismo suede black one is still obtainable.

Haha Mark. Iwantar34gtr has been looking to buy these books for ages and is lucky to be able to find them in his boot.

Did they match up to your kms?

+1 surely a car as clean as yours purchased from a reputable dealer such as extreme motorsports would have genuine kms. Is it true they have a real s-tune?

Yeah, no unwelcome surprises mate.

Was doing a clean up of the cupboard the other day and saw my partners S15 log book with original leather folder etc.

Curious to see your leather folder as wondering if they are the same.

Of course im not serious Tezza , i know how hard the books are to come by

i got mine through a good mate in Japan

You're not kidding, I looked everywhere for a replacement owners manual.

I already had the original hard cover dealer brochure and always wanted the rest of the books to compliment it.

Wouldnt mind trying to source a better condition service book though as the condition of mine is not great, however still better than nothing.

    • Hi GTSBoy, Excuse my ignorance but what does a "Bad" Knee point mean ?
    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
