It's a good chance it was my car if it looks like the one in my avatar :D

The panel actually came from another R33 GTR currently at ICE. I believe the owner before the owner at ICE (SIRVROOOMMM) replaced the standard black panelling with the silver.

From what I can tell, it wasn't simply the original panelling but painted. It looks professionally done.

This is on my to do list for next week. I am planning on a nice deep gold colour (to mach my brake calipers that are also on my to do list)

I was just planning on sanding that film back (using 1200 then 2000 grade). The shipping fools stuck paper on it and a bit of the film came off in that area, thats why I am doing it.

would love to see photos from r33's.

I have done my 32. I don'y think it came out the best, but for the cost of the materials was worth it.

I sanded back, then used spray putty to fill in existing blemishes. Gave it quite a few light coates of chrome paint (doesn't come up anything like chrome, but nice silver). And covered with a couple coates of clear. This stops it from getting scratched. While waiting for the coates to dry I took a few other bits out and did them too.

I just today retrimed my doors in blue velour. Again not professional quality but for the money saving, and the learning experience I think was well worth it.

here is a quick pic.

NIZ30,

That looks really good!!!!(shit hot actually :D )

The leather stuff matches the Trust stuff under the bonnet!!

What sort of glue did you use on the doors?(might try myself)

MEGA

P.s Send me a PM on how its like in brisbane!(skyline wise!)

nizmokid: Get someone that has a bead blaster (finer form of sand blasting) to remove the rubbery finish. Did mine this way at work (we have a bead blaster) primed theplastic and got it painted in the same colour as the new VX Commondore surround colour. Came up pretty good, if not as good as new!!

:uh-huh:

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
