boosted32
as title says, will an RB20DE NA exhaust manifold fit onto the RB20DET block? Don't ask why i want to know... but does anyone know for sure if it will?? I assume it would thanks Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41313-will-rb20-na-exhaust-manifold-fit-to-rb20det-block/ Share on other sites
666DAN
yeah it does Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41313-will-rb20-na-exhaust-manifold-fit-to-rb20det-block/#findComment-848102 Share on other sites

666DAN
I've got an RB25DE manifold going cheap that'll fit too Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41313-will-rb20-na-exhaust-manifold-fit-to-rb20det-block/#findComment-849629 Share on other sites
boosted32
i'll be looking for an entire exhaust from manifold to tip... but i'll keep yours in mind if i can't find what i need here... 666DAN
well my one is the stock system from an R34 manifold and front pipe linkage! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ight=N%2FA+bits Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41313-will-rb20-na-exhaust-manifold-fit-to-rb20det-block/#findComment-849861 Share on other sites
Cubes
as title says, will an RB20DE NA exhaust manifold fit onto the RB20DET block? Don't ask why i want to know... but does anyone know for sure if it will?? I assume it wouldthanks I wont ask but I will speculate. Defected? Would be cheaper to do this route than to try and find a stocker turbo and manifold... boosted32
I haven't been defected yet this is more a preventative measure... it's just easier than trying to reason with 'them'... we all know what 'they' are like here Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41313-will-rb20-na-exhaust-manifold-fit-to-rb20det-block/#findComment-852334 Share on other sites
Jolinator
and have no turbo? lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41313-will-rb20-na-exhaust-manifold-fit-to-rb20det-block/#findComment-852876 Share on other sites
Bl4cK32
dont think it would work with no turbs....?? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41313-will-rb20-na-exhaust-manifold-fit-to-rb20det-block/#findComment-853005 Share on other sites
boosted32
guess i'll find out... should be just like running with no boost Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41313-will-rb20-na-exhaust-manifold-fit-to-rb20det-block/#findComment-853867 Share on other sites
666DAN
will stall because it's too rich I think...or just run like a dog with black smoke spewing out Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41313-will-rb20-na-exhaust-manifold-fit-to-rb20det-block/#findComment-854231 Share on other sites
slip
Technically, in answer to your question - no. The NA exhaust manifold will not bolt onto the DET block. It will bolt onto the head though. boosted32
stop being technical may need to retune the ecu i guess... hmmmmmm Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/41313-will-rb20-na-exhaust-manifold-fit-to-rb20det-block/#findComment-855888 Share on other sites

Cecam
It won't run rich, because it will be using the offboost ecu maps, I've known a couple of cars to drive around like this without problems, your biggest problem is low c/r, so it will be extremely gutless which no amount of tuning will cure. I can think of three off the top of my head, all were quite hopeless. Keep the factory ecu and just wind in some timing perhaps... Cecam
I should clarify that slightly, as theres no maps for whether its on boost or not, but rather how much flow the afm is reading etc, but you get the idea anyways. 666DAN
Duh! I realised what I said haha I was thinking about changing to a larger injector size?????...yeah as Cecam said, the A/F meter will determine fueling, so it should be fine.
