From my understanding and not sure against Feds but, you have to advise whether or not you are recording video/sound (or not). The police officer will then request for you to either turn it off (Which you have to) or he will acknowldge and proceed with defecting you :P

Anyone have any cop m8's? My m8 has a cop friend. Might get him to ask him. Also, becareful, you can be arrested for not having more then $5 on you at all times (True law - but not policed :P) Infact, a guy in Melbourne got recently questioned for not having any money on him - mind you he lost his wallet.

Funny laws.

Can't edit my post. weird.

Anyways, from a Fed: You can record a video / audio as a civilian but it can't be used in court.

Yeah there's some stupid laws around...and we cop quite a few of them as car enthusiasts hoons.

That's it. I must say I haven't had any grief from the Popo. Had one following me today and the other day. (No idea why I wasn't pulled over given I have an illegeally loud exhaust and lowered). Every skyline I've seen on the road has been very very casual. The Holden and Ford drivers... oath, they flog it at every lights and scream down the roads in the 8's. If anyone is a hoon, it would be them. I am a Holden man by heart but you see a different world cruising along in a Skyline.

edit: Troy did you go to the easter cruise? I'm not good with names, but faces I am haha.

Edited by Jeremy90

Nah I wasn't there mate, I'm too bloody lazy especially considering I was out on the town buzzing out of my mind all night the night before lol

Since I don't have the Skyline any more, I'll either be spotted in my bright orange van or black and red CBR600RR wearing white/black/red leather jacket+gloves, black helmet, and denim riding jeans....lol nice and specific there for anyone who sees me around :P

Well, come to a cruise with the Motorcycle ! I'm sure people wouldn't mind D:

If you see me out and about be sure to cut me off and give me a wave :P I'm yet to spot another SAU member who isn't Rob :P (lives 2 minutes away from me).

Given I now live in Queanbeyan, I'm a bit out of the way to spot people :( although I do live in Bruce, so there's always a chance I'll see someone around Belco area in the morning/arvo/lunch break haha

I can't recall whether I already have plans or not, though on the assumption of NOT I'll make the effort to come out to Friday night meet up on the bike for a chat.

This Old man needs his cuppa hot coco and a good NRL game to watch on Friday nights.

Talk about the war and how times have changed ....lol

You young whipper snappers go out and enjoy yourselfs.............

Oh and keeping inline with this thread topic I received my new Tarzan G today and will fit this weekend :D

need the flywheel machined, will fire up the compressor tommorrow and try the rattle gun to get it off.

HELP!!!! Battery light came on today n my volts dropped to below 12 is anyone available tonight to come around to Gungahlin and swap there battery with mine so I can test if its my bettery or alternater on the way out. any help will be more than appreciated as its my daily. 0432104298 if u can help. thanks Ellie.

HELP!!!!

Ellie.

Is your alernator belt intact? Not Broken? Does the car start?

Do you have a multimeter? Battery should test no less than 12.4volts when not running (if less then it needs charging) and around 13.5+ when idling. If less than 13.5v then Alternator.

Do you have NRMA roadside assist? They can Test all. Cost me $168 for a Batty from them.

I have a fully charged battery I can give you (NRMA one) - but I'm southside :(

Anyone heading north ATM?, or are you able to come south ?

Also have jump pack and jumper leads

Rob - go help damsel in disdress :)

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. Rb25det s1 walbro255 fuel pump nismo fpr holset hx35 turbo fmic 3" exhaust freddy intake manifold q45tb q45 maf   Re: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Fri Apr 12, 2013 5:07 am No, I didn't. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
