Put the Tarzan G sensor in this evening :) . 15mins work so is easy as.

Too dark to go try it out now :( , so will give it a burl tomorrow morn. :D

While I was putting it in I noticed some Gear Box oil on the base of my C's short shifter and over the rubber boot.

Called ESP for advice. Cleaned it off and will keep an eye on it.

Might need to have a kit through it (shift bushing/plastic ring and the thin insulation seal).

As per above. I Tested the Tarzan G Sensor out this morning. (Seat of the pants testing)

A definite improvement and worth while  even for the normal to spirited driving that I do . If your doing track work then I believe the benefits would be even greater.

(I suppose so would a cheap Torque controller set to 7 on the dial)

Cabin torque dial actually moving under normal acceleration off the lights :) and up through the gears. You feel it and you see it - Win!

It's progressive and reflects what your doing - depressing accelerator and it's shifting power to the front.

- rather than heavy acceleration and 4WD coming on late (unsettling car). I used to do this just to see if the Attessa is working.

Tested it out on a corner I take every day turning right on the roundabout and then halfway round a quick left to get off it.

Normally I fight the car on the left turn from spearing off to the right. Not today :D went exactly where I pointed her.

GTR feels more sure footed off the mark and around corners, especially accelerating out the other side. There is no just on or off it's more progressive / linear.

It's definitely more responsive making it feel like it has more power/grunt under acceleration from the getgo. Attessa (4wd) is definitely on ALOT quicker.

As everyone knows I am impatient and waiting, even a second or two longer, gives me the shits. (hence -7's)

Slight improvement under braking (ABS). I can feel it but nothing to write a rant about.

Sorry if my rant sounds like an advertisement. Experiences may be different but for me a big improvement.

Before I am asked - YES my OEM G Sensor works perfectly as it was designed too - This G works ALOT better.

Very satisfying that it works properly. correct install.

Some oil on your shifter? hahahahaha! im turning into a black man from getting stuck into mine.

to you a bugsplat is like a bunny through the engine fan for me.

Totally different class of car, i cant believe they come from the same factory hahaha!

Drove to Sydney, got Helga a pink slip, RTA wouldn't accept my transfer due to not living in the NSW :/ lucky dad moved there this year. Maybe next weekend I will travel back there and sort it out. Hopefully i can slap 6months on it.

a fair n quick trip early in the morn.

I'll be heading up tomoz to pick something up.

Lucky I'll only be up there for an hour. (hate the place :verymad: - not the people  )

well not ALL of them :whistling:

Wish I knew you were heading up. You could of saved me the trip

Last night went round to Robs to pick up a sedan pair of foggies I purchased as I prefer these over the normal coupe ones. While I was there we also slapped on a sedan grill just for shits and giggles to see how it looked over my m spec grill. And I think I actually prefer the sedan stuff... Maybe I should have just bought a sedan.. :/

Anyway, foggies installed this morning. Think it looks much nicer this way :D

Chris that looks awesome! nice one.

Grill looks fat too especially the dark grey vs the silver. :)

Picked up a series 2 33 wing I stole on Ebay from Kambah, then drove the Uriarra to Cotter to Point Hut twisties. :D

So much fun and fuel.

I vote we do a drive/cruise on the Uriarra road. Heaps more drive than the last Cotter run..

:woot:

Mad! Yeah I like the contrast from the silver to the black. Am wondering what black foggy grills would look like.

I went out past Point Hut and Tidbinbilla for those photos today haha. Was good fun apart from the road work they are doing there...

Yeah Uriarra road is a longer one :)

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
